James Scott Williams
Minister ID: 1300725 View Ordination Certificate
Officiated by James Scott Williams at Dallas Ranch in Laramie, Wyoming on September 12th, 2026. Witnessed by Emily Gallhofer and Quade Romsa.
"This wedding was my first and only cowboy wedding. It was also the first time I was asked to ride a horse, along with the groom and his groomsmen, to the wedding location. The backdrop of the Wyoming Buttes was amazing! This was a large wedding, about 400 people. The script was personalized just for them, there was nothing generic about it. It was such an honor to be able to officiate for this beautiful young couple. This wedding was a blast and getting to live out my cowboy dreams was icing on the cake! "
Father of the Bride Presents the Bride
[Father of the Bride or Parents walks the bride down the aisle] Officiant:
"Who gives this bride in marriage?" Father of the Bride: "Her mother
and I do."
Invocation
Dear Lord, we thank you for this beautiful day and for bringing
Blare and Gabi together. We thank you for the family and friends
that have gathered here today, and for the love and support
they have shown them. We ask that you bless this marriage,
guide them in their life together, and keep them always in your
loving care. May their love grow stronger with each passing day.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Opening Remarks
Welcome, family and friends. We gather here today to celebrate
the love between Blare Romsa and Gabi Gollhofer. Each of us
attending has somehow touched their lives, and we are the
community that they have called together to witness their
marriage. Your presence serves as a symbol of the love and
support that each of you offers and allows them to officially
begin their life together surrounded by those who are dearest
and most important to them.
What can I say about a person who is kind to everyone they
meet? A person who is smart, gifted, stunning, successful and so
much more? A top human in every situation? Well, enough about
me, let’s move onto the bride and groom.
Gabi and Blare, love is a powerful force, capable of inspiring,
healing, and transforming lives. It is a gift from above and a
reflection of God’s boundless grace.
Over the last two years, I have had the privilege of watching the
two of you grow from two individuals trying to figure out
whether this relationship might work into a couple who is quite
obviously crazy about one another. From the first time I met
Blare at our New Year’s Eve party, it was pretty clear there was
something special between the two of you. Blare grew up in the
western way of life—rodeoing, steer wrestling, hunting, fishing,
building things, and doing just about every other manly thing
you can think of. For years he was known as a bulldogger, and I
suppose after spending all that time trying to wrestle steers to
the ground, it was only a matter of time before he finally met his
greatest challenge.
Then along came Gabi.
And she was going to be a little harder to catch.
After all, Gabi has been dancing since she was three years old.
She danced her way all the way to the University of Oklahoma,
where she was a member of the dance team—and yes, I believe
this is the appropriate place for a “Boomer Sooner.”
Gabi loves dancing, wake surfing, anything pink, getting her hair
and nails done, and spending time with the people she loves.
But somewhere along the way, this lifelong dancer discovered
that there was also a cowgirl hiding inside her. These days, she
is just as happy driving a team of horses and a wagon as she is
out on a dance floor.
So maybe there is a little Hannah Montana in there after all—the
best of both worlds.
And Blare, somehow, you found a woman who can go from pink
nails and dance shoes to boots, horses, and Wyoming life
without missing a beat.
Since then, I have watched the two of you build a life together—
quite literally in some cases. You own an apartment complex
together, you run a dog wash together, and you continue to
build a future side by side.
And like every good partnership, you each bring something
different to the table. Blare, fortunately, loves to cook. Gabi...
well, she loves that Blare loves to cook. And Gabi, I understand
you are working on it, so there is still hope.
But beneath all the things that make you different is something
far more important: you genuinely enjoy one another. You
support one another. You respect one another. And you have
created a relationship where each of you can be completely
yourself while still becoming something even better together.
Somewhere along the way, this bulldogger two-stepped his way
into the heart of a dancer, and the dancer found herself a
cowboy.
And now, Gabi, you get to live out your pretty-in-pink cowgirl
dream with the man you love.
And Blare, you caught her.
Although, knowing Gabi, I think we all know she probably let
you.
Marriage is not just about beautiful moments like today, but
about a sacred covenant, a partnership built on love, trust,
respect, and unwavering commitment and devotion. It is about
laughter on the best days and love that carries you through the
hardest ones. It is about holding each other up, cheering each
other on, and never losing sight of the friendship that brought
you together.
So, as we gather in the presence of love, let us celebrate this
incredible couple, honor the journey that has led them here, and
bear witness to the vows they are about to make—vows that will
guide them through the beautiful adventure of marriage.
With joy in our hearts, let us begin.
Declaration of Intent
Blare and Gabi do you come here freely and openly, with full
purpose of heart, to be joined in marriage?
[Groom and Bride respond, "Yes"]
Scripture Reading
Blare and Gabi have chosen two special passages of scripture for
me to share.
[1 Corinthians 13: 4-8; Mark 10: 6-9]
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV):
The Apostle Paul wrote this to the church in Corinth:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast,
it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does
not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects,
always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never
fails."
Mark 10: 6-9 (NIV):
Jesus teaching on the subject of marriage said:
" But at the beginning of creation God made them male and
female. For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother
and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So,
they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has
joined together, let no one separate.”
Vows
Blare and Gabi have decided to share with one another their
own heartfelt vows.
[Couple exchanges handwritten vows]
Blare and Gabi, because of the love you have for each other and
because of the sacred vows you are about to take, will you
please join hands.
Blare, do you take Gabi to be your wife? Do you promise to love
her, honor her, comfort her and keep her, and forsaking all
others remain faithful to her as long as you both shall live? [I Do]
Gabi, do you take Blare to be your husband? Do you promise to
love him, honor him, comfort him and keep him, and forsaking
all others remain faithful to him as long as you both shall live? [I
Do]
Exchange of Rings
I would ask you now to seal these vows by giving and receiving
of the rings.
The ring itself is a powerful symbol of unending love and
commitment, a circle with no beginning or end. May it be a
constant reminder of the vows you have made today and may
your love for each other grow deeper with each passing year.
Blare, will you take the ring and place it on Gabi’s finger.
And, as you do, repeat after me:
With this ring, I pledge my love and commitment to you.
I give you my heart, my soul, and my love, now and for all
time.
Gabi, will you take this ring and place it on Blare’s finger and
as you do repeat after me:
With this ring, I pledge my love and commitment to you.
I give you my heart, my soul, and my love, now and for all
time.
Cord of Three Strands Ceremony
Blare and Gabi will now perform the Cord of Three Strands
Ceremony, a ritual to symbolize the joining of man, woman, and
God in lasting marriage.
Why three strands? As Ecclesiastes tells us, two are stronger
than one, and stronger still with Christ’s love:
“Two are better than one because they have a good reward for
their efforts. For if either fall, his companion can lift him up; but
pity the one who falls without another to lift him up. Also, if two
lie down together, they can keep warm; but how can one person
alone keep warm? And if someone overpowers one person, two
can resist him. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.”
{The couple begins to tie the braid}
Blare and Gabi, you’ve made your vows and promises to each
other. As you bind these strands, remember to lift each other
up, support each other, and keep God at the center of your
marriage. Let His Love be the example that unites you each day,
as you learn to be good and true with each other.
Ephesians Chapter 4 asks of us, “I urge you to walk in a manner
worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all
humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one
another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the
bond of peace.”
This braid symbolizes that bond. Your love is stronger when you
love God first. Keep this cord in your home to remind you of the
foundation God brings to your lives, first as individuals, and now
united as husband and wife.
“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ,” as the Bible
commands. Blare, love Gabi just as Christ loved the church.
Ephesians tells us that Christ gave himself up for her, for the
Church, to make her holy. Give yourself up to Gabi and your
marriage fully, honor her, and honor this covenant.
And Gabi, love Blare with a gentle heart. Let him lead your family
well as he strives to walk closely with Christ.
Prayer
Now, let’s all take a moment to pray, in celebration of the joy and
love that God has put into these two hearts, and for the happy
life that lies ahead of them.
Heavenly Father, we come before You today to bless the union
of Blare and Gabi. May Your love be the foundation of their
marriage, a love that is patient, kind, and enduring. Grant them
wisdom to navigate life's challenges together, strength to
overcome obstacles, and grace to forgive one another. May their
home be filled with laughter, joy, and Your presence. Bless them
with children, if it be Your will, and surround them with loving
family and friends. We ask these things in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
Pronouncement
And now, having pledged your love for and loyalty to each other,
and having sealed the pledge with the marriage rings. By the
power vested in me by the state of Wyoming, American Marriage
Ministries and with the blessing of God, I now pronounce you
husband and wife. May your love for one another always reflect
God’s unconditional love.
Blare, you may now kiss your bride. (Get out of the way for pics)
