ABOUT THIS WEDDING
"Angie and Mike’s celebration was one of those evenings that became more beautiful as the sun went down. We gathered with their family at the Hot Springs Mountain Pagoda, surrounded by flowers, candlelight and the people who mean the most to them. Their daughter had a special role in the celebration, and watching this little family celebrate together was one of my favorite parts. By the end of the evening, the mountain was dark, the candles were glowing, and it felt wonderfully intimate and romantic. What I loved most was that the celebration really reflected them. It wasn’t about putting on a huge production. It was about standing together in a beautiful place, surrounded by family, and taking a moment to recognize the love and commitment they share. We incorporated Scripture, prayer and the exchange of rings into the ceremony. Their promises focused on something I believe matters tremendously in a lasting relationship: continuing to choose one another, not only during the exciting moments, but through ordinary days and difficult ones too. Their rings became a simple symbol of that choice — a reminder to keep choosing each other one day at a time. Their daughter was such a sweet part of the evening. She had her own little bouquet to coordinate with her mom’s and helped distribute bubble wands to the guests. Including children in a meaningful way can completely change the feeling of an intimate wedding, and I loved seeing her have a role that made the celebration hers, too. As daylight faded, the Pagoda transformed. The candles and luminaries began to glow against the mountain darkness, and what had started as an outdoor evening celebration became something incredibly warm and intimate. Some of my favorite moments happened after dark, when everyone was gathered together in the candlelight. After the ceremony, there was cake, a toast, food, bubbles, photographs and time for everyone to simply enjoy being together. Those are often my favorite celebrations to create — the ones where the ceremony doesn’t feel separate from everything else, but becomes part of an entire experience for the couple and the people they love. I was especially touched by the generations of family gathered around Angie and Mike. There were little moments throughout the evening — between parents, children and the couple themselves — that reminded me why I love intimate weddings so much. With a smaller group, you can actually see those relationships and give them room to be part of the story. By the time we finished, the sun was completely gone, the mountain was dark, and the Pagoda was still glowing with candlelight. It was romantic, imperfect, personal and completely their own — exactly the kind of Love Story I love helping couples create in Hot Springs. 💕"

Good evening, everyone.
We have gathered here in this beautiful place to celebrate something wonderfully simple: two people who have chosen one another.
Angie and Mike have brought the people they love here tonight to witness the promises they make to each other and to celebrate the life they are choosing to share.
And Angie and Mike, when you look around, I hope you take this moment in. These are your people. They are here because they love you, because your happiness matters to them, and because they want to share this moment with you.
Prayer
Before we continue, Angie and Mike have asked that we begin their ceremony with a prayer.
Most High Jehovah,
Thank you for the gift of love and for bringing Angie and Mike to this beautiful moment surrounded by the people who care for them.
We ask that you bless the promises they make here today. Give them patience when life is difficult, gratitude when life is abundant, and the wisdom to continue choosing kindness, forgiveness, laughter, and love in the years ahead.
Please bless their family and the home and life they are building together, and help them always remember the love that brought them here today.
We ask these things in the name of Jesus, our Redeemer.

Reflection on Love
There is a beautiful verse in Song of Solomon that Angie and Mike chose for this day:
“Many waters cannot extinguish love, nor can rivers sweep it away.”
I love that for the two of you because it doesn't describe love as something fragile.
Real love lives through ordinary days and difficult ones. It survives changes of plans, unexpected turns, disagreements, laughter, worry, family, work, and all of the wonderfully imperfect things that make up an actual life together.
Love isn't simply something that happens to us.
Eventually, love becomes something we choose.
And today, Angie and Mike are choosing each other.
