Family and friends, welcome.

Thank you for being here this evening to celebrate Sara and Tripp as they become husband and wife.

There is something especially meaningful about standing here with them at Adair Park, because this isn't simply a beautiful place they chose for their wedding. It's already part of their love story.

Tripp proposed to Sara here at the fountain on her birthday. And tonight they've come back to the place where they decided to take that next step together—this time to make their promises and begin their marriage.

Sara and Tripp wanted today to be simple, intimate, and personal. And surrounded by the people they've chosen to share this moment with, I think that's exactly what they've created.

Reflection & Scripture

A wedding is a beautiful moment, and marriage is built in all the moments that follow.

It's built in ordinary days as much as extraordinary ones—in laughter and conversation, in showing up for each other, in extending patience and forgiveness, and in facing whatever life brings as partners.

One of the most beautiful descriptions of love is found in 1 Corinthians 13:

Love is patient and kind. It does not keep account of injury. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

Love never fails.

That doesn't mean love never faces difficulties.

It means that when difficulties come, love gives you a reason to keep turning toward one another.

Marriage is the choice to say, Of all the people in this world, you're the person I want beside me.

And today, Sara and Tripp are making that choice together.

Prayer

Before you make those promises to one another, I'd like to ask our God's blessing on the marriage you're about to begin.

Our Heavenly Father Jehovah,

Thank you for bringing Sara and Tripp to this beautiful day and for the family and friends who have gathered here to share their joy.

Please bless the promises they are about to make to one another.

Help them to show patience and kindness, to listen with understanding, to forgive freely, and to continue finding joy in one another.

When life is easy, help them to be grateful for it. When life is difficult, give them the strength to face it together.

May their home be filled with peace, laughter, and love, and may the commitment they make here today continue to deepen throughout all the years ahead.

We ask these things in the name of Jesus, our Redeemer.

Exchange of Rings

May I have the rings?

These rings are small things, and the promises they represent are anything but small.

Their circles have no beginning and no end. From today forward, they will be a visible reminder of the promises you've made here and of the person who made those promises to you.

Tripp, place the ring on Sara's finger and repeat after me:

Pronouncement

Sara and Tripp, you came back today to a place that already holds an important moment in your story.

The fountain behind us will always be the place where Tripp asked a question, and Sara said yes.

And now Adair Park gets to hold another chapter—the place where you stood together, made your promises, exchanged your rings, and became husband and wife.

You have declared your intentions and made your vows in the presence of your family and friends.

And now, by the authority vested in me by the State of Arkansas, it is my great pleasure to pronounce you husband and wife.

Tripp, you may kiss your bride.
