"Met this beautiful couple at a bridal show where I had a booth set up. Months later they contacted me and said they knew from moment we all met that they wanted me to officiate their wedding. They were wonderful to work with. The bride was so organized and thorough. I was super excited for them. We met several times over zoom to get everything planned out and finalized. It was so fun working with them and the wedding was amazing. I enjoyed it so much and they later stated they were super happy with everything as well."

Welcome
Officiant:
Good afternoon, everyone!
On behalf of Greg and Felicia, welcome, and thank you for being here to celebrate this extraordinary day. Whether you’ve traveled across the country or just across town, your presence is a gift and a reflection of the love and support that surrounds this beautiful couple.
Today is more than a wedding.
It is the beginning of a lifelong covenant—a promise made before God and witnessed by all of us. Marriage is one of life’s greatest blessings. It is built on friendship, strengthened by faith, sustained by grace, and filled with countless opportunities to love one another a little more each day.
Greg and Felicia, today marks the beginning of your greatest adventure—not because life will always be easy, but because from this day forward, you’ll face every joy and every challenge together.

A Time of Loving Remembrance
Officiant:
Before we continue, Greg and Felicia would like to take a moment to honor those whose love continues to surround them from Heaven.
While they are deeply missed today, they are forever present in the hearts of those who love them. Their guidance, wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love helped shape the incredible people Greg and Felicia have become, and their legacy lives on through the family gathered here today.
Today, we lovingly remember:
• Roderick G. Brewer, Felicia's beloved father.
• James and Dorothy Alston, Greg's beloved grandparents.
• Claudia H. Lewis, Felicia's maternal grandmother.
• Febbie Nichols, Felicia's maternal aunt.
• Foster Lewis and Raymond Lewis, Felicia's maternal uncles.
Though they cannot be with us physically, we know their love has never left. We believe they are smiling down upon Greg and Felicia today, celebrating this beautiful beginning and the love that has brought everyone together.
Their memories continue to inspire, their lessons continue to guide, and the love they shared continues to live on in the lives of those they cherished.
At this time, I invite everyone to join us in a moment of silent reflection as we honor these loved ones and hold their memories close in our hearts.
(Pause for approximately 20–30 seconds.)
Thank you.
May their memories forever be a blessing, and may the love they gave continue to shine through Greg and Felicia's marriage for all the years to come.

The Love Story of Greg & Felicia
The Beginning of Their Forever
Every love story has a beginning.
Sometimes it begins with a grand romantic gesture. Sometimes it begins with a perfectly planned moment.
And sometimes, it begins with something much simpler—
a glance that lingers,
a laugh that feels easy,
a conversation that somehow lasts longer than expected,
or a feeling that whispers, there is something special about this person.
For Greg and Felicia, that something special began on June 15, 2025, at Tru's Fight Party.
Neither of them could have known that evening that they were standing at the beginning of a story that would eventually lead them here.
But something began.
Curiosity became conversation.
Conversation became connection.
And connection became something extraordinary:
Us.
Just six days later, on June 21st, they shared their first date at No. 246 in Decatur.
And as they continued getting to know one another, they discovered that there was something different about the relationship they were creating.
They weren't simply spending time together.
They were learning one another.
They were paying attention.
They were becoming intentional about understanding the person standing on the other side of the conversation.
Greg remembers those early days very clearly.
His first impression of Felicia was how intentional she was about wanting to know and understand everything there was to know about him.
And in the midst of those conversations, something beautiful happened.
They created a safe place.
A place where both could share their experiences without judgment,
where they could be honest and vulnerable.
A place where they could simply be themselves.
And with every conversation, that safe place became stronger.
An unbreakable bond began to form.
Greg says that no matter what else was happening around him, he always felt at peace with Felicia.
And for a man who has always been confident in himself, Felicia had a way of lifting him even higher.
He admired the way she cared for the people in her life.
The way she showed up for family and friends.
The way she loved.
The way she gave.
And perhaps just as meaningful to him was seeing how deeply her family and friends loved her in return.
Because that told him something about the woman he was falling in love with.
It showed him the kind of heart she carried.
It showed him that Felicia wasn't simply someone who loved people—
she was someone people were grateful to love.
And as their relationship continued to unfold, Greg began to recognize God's hand in their story.
He says God spoke to him on many occasions, reassuring him that this was where he was supposed to be.
Then came one moment he will never forget.
He woke in the middle of the night with tears in his eyes, overwhelmed by the realization that God had blessed him exceedingly beyond anything he could have imagined for himself.
He had found Felicia.
Not simply as someone to love for a season...
but as the woman he could envision beside him for a lifetime.
His partner.
His wife.
His forever.
And Greg knows this much with complete confidence:
There is nothing in this world that the two of them cannot conquer together.

And Then There Is Felicia's Heart
For Felicia, Greg became something she hadn't simply hoped for—he became something she cherished.
She describes their beginning as something that started with laughter, a lingering glance, and words spoken with warmth.
What began as curiosity grew into connection.
And that connection blossomed into something extraordinary:
Us.
But Felicia didn't just fall in love with Greg.
She began building a life of memories with him.
She planned experiences.
created adventures and
celebrated milestones.
She found ways to make ordinary moments feel special.
From their first dates and evenings out, to the Botanical Gardens, birthday celebrations, Big Door Vineyard, Sandestin, Los Angeles, Rock City, and all the little adventures in between, Felicia wasn't simply making plans.
She was creating memories.
She was creating a life.
And she was creating a story that she wanted to remember forever.
That is one of the beautiful things about Felicia.
She is intentional,
Thoughtful,
and a great planner.
And when it comes to the people she loves, she doesn't just show up.
She shows up with her whole heart.
She has a way of turning moments into memories and memories into traditions.
She understands that love isn't only found in the big moments.
Sometimes love looks like planning the trip.
Remembering the little details.
Surprising someone with something thoughtful.
Making time.
Creating an experience.
Or simply saying, "I thought about you."
And Greg has been blessed to experience that side of Felicia.

The Words From Her Heart
As Felicia reflected on the man she loves, she expressed something that beautifully captures what Greg has become to her:
"You are my favorite place, my retreat, my electrical charge."
What a beautiful description of love.
Because home isn't always a place.
Sometimes home is a person.
Someone whose presence allows you to breathe a little deeper,
brings peace when the world feels loud.
Someone who gives you energy when you feel drained,
and whose embrace feels like returning to a place you never want to leave.
Felicia continued:
"Thank you for being you, for being so caring, loving and open. I see you, hear you, appreciate you, and am longing for more."
She wants Greg to know that she sees him.
Not simply the man everyone else sees, but the man underneath it all.
She hears him
And appreciates him.
And she wants him to know that he never has to question what he means to her.
She looks forward to continuing this journey with him.
To discovering more of him.
To understanding him on an even deeper level.
And to continuing what she so beautifully calls "composing the book of Us."
Because their story isn't finished.
They are still writing it.
And Felicia knows that the best chapters are still ahead.
She calls Greg her latest and greatest inspiration.
And then she says something especially powerful:
"You are my truth, and I see my reflection of me in you."
There is something deeply beautiful about finding a person who reflects the best parts of who you are while inspiring you to become even more.
That is what Greg and Felicia have found in one another.

The Memories That Became Their Story
Their first year together became filled with moments that, on their own, might seem simple.
But together, they became the foundation of a beautiful love story.
There were dinners and celebrations.
Music and laughter.
Couples yoga.
Painting together.
Thoughtful gifts.
Weekend getaways.
Thanksgiving.
Christmas.
Ice skating.
Game nights.
Backyard gatherings.
Road trips.
Birthday adventures.
Los Angeles.
Universal Studios.
A Celtics versus Lakers game.
Rock City.
Porch crawls.
And countless moments that probably never made it onto an official calendar at all.
But those may be the moments that mattered most.
The quiet conversations,
spontaneous laughs.
The moments when they looked at one another and didn't need to say anything.
Because they had already said enough.
Felicia eventually gathered these memories together, page by page and picture by picture, because she understood something important:
A picture may be worth a thousand words...
but when it comes to Greg and Felicia, every picture tells a story.
Not simply of what they did,
but of who they became together.
________________________________________
From Two Lives to One
And somewhere between the first conversation and today's ceremony, something changed.
They stopped simply asking,
"Where is this relationship going?"
And began answering,
"Where are we going together?"
That is the beauty of their relationship.
They didn't rush past getting to know each other.
They took the time to build something.
Friendship.
Trust.
Safety.
Respect.
Laughter.
Faith.
And love.
They learned that love isn't simply about finding someone who makes your heart race.
It's finding someone who brings you peace,
who challenges you to grow,
and who celebrates your victories.
Someone who stands beside you during your struggles,
sees your imperfections and loves you anyway and
makes you proud to say,
"This is my person."
Greg is proud to have Felicia in his life.
And Felicia is grateful to have Greg in hers.
He sees her strength, her generosity, her loving heart, and the way she gives so much of herself to the people she loves.
She sees his heart, his confidence, his openness, his ability to make her feel safe, and the man he continues to become.
And both of them understand that what they have been given is something worth protecting, nurturing, choosing.
Every single day.

The Beginning of Forever
Greg and Felicia's first year was never meant to be the entire story.
It was simply the beginning.
The first chapter.
The introduction.
The opening pages of what they now know will be a much bigger book.
filled with more adventures.
More late-night conversations.
More celebrations.
More dreams realized.
And countless ordinary days that will become extraordinary simply because they are shared.
Today, Greg and Felicia aren't closing the book on their first chapter.
They are turning the page.
So here's to the two people who started with curiosity...
who found connection...
trust...
who discovered peace...
who created a safe place...
and who ultimately found their way to one another.
Here's to the love that changed everything.
And here's to the beautiful story that is still being written.
Because the first year was only the beginning.
The book of Us is just getting started.
Their forever.

Scripture Reading
Officiant:
The Bible teaches us that while love is one of God’s greatest gifts, it is also one of His greatest callings.
Greg and Felicia have chosen a passage that beautifully describes the kind of love they desire to cultivate throughout their marriage.
At this time, it is my honor to invite Kenya Lewis, Felicia’s sister-cousin, to come forward and share 1 Corinthians 13:4–13 (NIV).
(Kenya Lewis comes forward and reads the passage from the couple’s Bible or ceremony program.)
(Kenya returns to her seat.)

Reflection
Thank you, Kenya, for sharing those beautiful words.
The Scripture we just heard is often called the “Love Chapter,” and for good reason. It reminds us that love is much more than a feeling—it is a choice we make every single day.
Love is found in the way we speak to one another after a long day. It is shown through patience when life becomes difficult, through kindness when it is least expected, through forgiveness when mistakes are made, and through celebrating one another’s victories as if they were our own.
Greg and Felicia, as I listened to your love story, I realized that you are already living many of these truths.
Greg, you found peace in Felicia. She created a safe place where you could be fully known and fully accepted. You recognized God’s hand guiding your relationship, and your heart became certain that she was the woman He had chosen for you.
Felicia, your story reminds us that the strongest love often begins quietly—with a conversation, a shared laugh, a lingering glance, and a willingness to simply spend time together. Those moments became the foundation of something extraordinary.
The love described in Scripture isn’t perfect because two people are perfect.
It is beautiful because two imperfect people choose one another again and again.
As you begin this marriage today, remember that these verses are not simply words read during your wedding ceremony.
They are a blueprint for your marriage.
When patience is needed, choose patience.
When kindness is needed, choose kindness.
When forgiveness is needed, choose forgiveness.
Celebrate one another.
Protect one another.
Encourage one another.
Pray together.
Laugh often.
Never stop dating each other.
And always keep Christ at the center of your home, allowing His love to shape the love you share.
If you do that, your marriage won’t simply endure—it will flourish, becoming a testimony of God’s goodness and faithfulness for everyone who knows you.

Marriage Charge
Greg and Felicia,
Continue building the safe place you’ve already created.
Always be each other’s greatest encourager.
Protect your friendship.
Choose grace over being right.
Speak words that heal.
Extend forgiveness quickly.
Celebrate the ordinary moments.
Never underestimate the power of holding hands, praying together, laughing together, and making time for one another.
Marriage isn’t built in one extraordinary day.
It’s built in thousands of ordinary days where love is chosen again and again.

Exchange of Rings
These rings are circles with no beginning and no end.
Just as these rings are endless, so may your love continue to grow throughout the years.
Whenever you look upon them, may they remind you of the promises you’ve made today and the covenant you’ve entered into before God.
(Rings are exchanged.)

Unity Sand Ceremony
Today, Greg and Felicia will blend two individual lives into one.
Each container of sand represents their separate journeys, their families, their experiences, and the unique qualities that make each of them who they are.
As they pour their sand into one vessel, the individual grains become forever intertwined.
Though each grain remains unique, together they create something even more beautiful.
May this blended sand always remind you that your lives are forever joined, your futures forever connected, and your love forever strengthened by your commitment to walk side by side through every season of life.
