"The ceremony was so simple it almost felt like a rehearsal: a small room, two witnesses with shining eyes, and a bouquet that had decided to shed its petals right before it began, as if it, too, were nervous. They arrived holding hands, trying to keep their solemnity… until I cracked a joke and both of them let out their first laugh. And then it was clear: this wasn’t going to be perfect; it was going to be theirs. When the time for the vows came, he tried to say something profound and got tongue-tied with the microphone turned off. She, without missing a beat, whispered to him, “Project, artist,” and witness number one had to hide their face behind the paper so no one would notice they were laughing. So, instead of endless speeches, they made small, true promises: to share the last slice of pizza, not to argue about who forgot the keys (a merciful little lie), and to always choose the same team when life got hard. It was intimate and, in a strange and beautiful way, symbolic—as if love were made of exactly those things. There were only a few of us, yes, but the emotion was enough to fill the room: a tiny, deeply felt ceremony, the kind that squeezes your chest and makes you laugh at the same time. When we stepped outside there were no fireworks and no band playing; there was fresh air, tight hugs, and a lovely silence—the kind that says, “we did it.” Someone asked about the party, and they looked at each other like they were sharing a secret: “We’ll do it later… and we’re going to put it together ourselves.” And as I watched them walk away with that joy that doesn’t need noise, I couldn’t help thinking: it was an honor to join them in marriage and to be part—even if only for a little while—of their story. Because if anything was crystal clear in that simple ceremony, it’s that their love doesn’t need grand stages: it’s enough for them to be together, laugh at the chaos, and celebrate, in their own way, what they’ve just begun."
