Welcome family and friends,

We are gathered here today to celebrate the love and commitment of Dane and Lydia as they begin this next chapter of their lives together.

Every great love story has a beginning, and theirs started in November of 2018. While visiting family in Bruce, Wisconsin, Dane matched with Lydia on the dating app Bumble. What began as a simple swipe quickly turned into meaningful conversations, and despite the distance, a connection began to grow.

Not long afterward, Dane made the move back to Wisconsin from Colorado, and on Christmas Day they had their very first date. They traveled to Bentleyville in Duluth, Minnesota, to take in the holiday lights before sharing their first dinner together.

As the story goes, Dane was so flustered and distracted by his date that he accidentally drove through a red light—a moment that has become a favorite memory and a reminder of just how smitten he was from the very beginning.

From that first Christmas date, they have been inseparable. Through everyday moments, adventures, challenges, laughter, and countless memories, they have built a relationship rooted in friendship, trust, and love.

Along the way, their story became about more than just the two of them. Together, Dane and Lydia have built a family with Malikai and Carter, creating a home filled with love, support, and shared memories.

Today is not only the joining of two hearts, but the strengthening of a family. As they continue this journey together, they celebrate the bond they have created and the future they will build as a family of four.

Today, surrounded by family and friends, they are choosing to make a lifelong commitment to one another and celebrate the journey that brought them here.
