Felisha & Dominick Bonazzi
Hot Springs Mountain Pagoda, on West Mountain
Sunset Ceremony
Good evening, everyone.
Thank you for joining us here on West Mountain as we celebrate a very special occasion for Felisha and Dominick.
Most wedding ceremonies celebrate the beginning of a journey together.
Felisha and Dominick decided to take the scenic route.
They were married in 2014, divorced in 2018, spent some time proving that neither one of them could completely get rid of the other, and eventually arrived at the conclusion that maybe the first marriage wasn’t the mistake—they just needed a little more road experience.
Anyone who knows these two knows they don’t have one of those relationships where they stare lovingly into each other’s eyes all day and finish each other’s sentences.
They’re more the type to argue over directions, take a wrong turn, argue about whose fault it was, stop for snacks, kiss and make up, and somehow end up exactly where they were supposed to be.
A motorcycle ride isn’t memorable because the road is perfectly smooth. It’s memorable because of the curves, the hills, the unexpected turns, and the person riding beside you.
Life together works much the same way.
The strongest marriages aren’t built by two perfect people who never disagree. They’re built by two people who continue choosing one another, even after life’s detours, hard conversations, wrong turns, and lessons learned along the road.
Today isn’t about starting over.
It’s about choosing each other again.
DECLARATION OF INTENT
Dominick, do you choose Felisha to be your wife, your riding partner, your best friend, and your companion for whatever roads lie ahead?
*(I do)*
Felisha, do you choose Dominick to be your husband, your riding partner, your best friend, and your companion for whatever roads lie ahead?
*(I do)*
REPEAT-AFTER-ME VOWS
Dominick, please repeat after me:
I, Dominick, take you, Felisha, to be my wife once again.
I promise to love you, to respect you, to laugh with you, to stand beside you, through smooth roads and rough roads, for all the adventures still to come.
Felisha, please repeat after me:
I, Felisha, take you, Dominick, to be my husband once again.
I promise to love you, to respect you, to laugh with you, to stand beside you, through smooth roads and rough roads, for all the adventures still to come.
RING EXCHANGE
May I have the rings?
Dominick, place the ring on Felisha’s finger and repeat after me:
With this ring, I choose you again.
Felisha, place the ring on Dominick’s finger and repeat after me:
With this ring, I choose you again.
UNITY SAND CEREMONY
Today, Felisha and Dominick will take part in a unity sand ceremony.
This sand does not represent two lives being joined for the first time.
Instead, it represents two lives that have already shared miles of road together and are choosing, once again, to move forward as one.
As the sand is poured together, it becomes forever intertwined—just as your lives, your memories, your challenges, and your victories have become intertwined.
PRONOUNCEMENT
Most couples getting married today are taking a leap into the unknown.
Felisha and Dominick know exactly what they’re getting into.
They’ve already read the owner’s manual.
And somehow, after all these years, all the miles, and all the twists and turns, they still looked at each other and said, “Yep. That’s my person.”
By the authority vested in me by the State of Arkansas, and after considerable evidence that neither of you can permanently get rid of the other, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Dominick, you may kiss your bride.
Friends! I now present to you for the second time... Mr. & Mrs. Dominick & Felisha Bonazzi
