Officiated by Renee Suzanne Gutierrez-Kinz at Granny and Pop’s house in Murrieta, California on July 3rd, 2026. Witnessed by Rose Martha Gutierrez and Rosalind Marie Gutierrez Silver.
"I was very nervous since this is my niece. She and her husband asked me to officiate in 3 weeks planning. I tried to keep it light and joyful for the family that attended also quick since it was almost 100 outside. It went pretty well and everyone seemed happy with the way I officiated the wedding."
Marissa’s wedding
We are gather here today to celebrate a wedding of one of Rosalind’s children. A lot of firsts in the Silver family this year with a beautiful granddaughter and now her oldest getting married. I must say I was kinda taken back that I was asked to officiate their wedding but I’m honored.
We are gathered here in this sacred backyard to join this man with chicken. Neil and Marissa have been together for years, marriage should not be taken lightly. It is communication, commitment, respect, and accountability that make it a success.
The only advice I can give you is never go to bed angry and never stop saying “I love you”.
Now for the vows:
Do you Neil take Marissa as your lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold, in sickness and in health until death do you part?
Marissa
Do you take Neil as your lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold, in sickness and in health until death do you part?
Ring exchange: ask to take them out
The ring represents the commitment and love shown here. It is a circle with no beginning and no end. It symbolizes the vows you have taken in front of these witnesses. Let it remind you of the love you feel today.
Neil take the ring and place it on Marissa’s finger and repeat after me
I give you this ring as a sign of my love and commitment as we join our lives together, today, tomorrow, and for as long as our love will last.
Marissa take the ring and put it on Neil’s finger and repeat after me.
Read above.
May you celebrate many joyful seasons together, support each other when days are difficult, and continue to learn and grow closer with each passing year.
By the virtue of the authority vested in me by the state of California and the American marriage ministries, I now pronounce you married.
You may now kiss your chicken.
Family it is my honor to introduce
