Officiated by Jose L Vargas at Fair Oaks Farms in Fair Oaks, Indiana on May 9th, 2026. Witnessed by Ryan Mattull and Emily Clark.
Before Curtis and Candice share their vows, I’d like to share a brief story.
When my child was young, there was a moment of anger when she said, “Mom, I hate you.”
As painful as that was, her mom responded calmly and said, “That’s okay. Today, I’ll have enough love for both of us—but tomorrow, I want it back.”
That simple moment carries a powerful truth about love.
There will be days in marriage when one of you is tired, frustrated, or struggling. On those days, the other may need to carry a little more of the love. And that’s okay.
But what matters most is that you always come back to each other—that you give that love back, and keep growing it together.
Marriage isn’t about never having hard moments. It’s about choosing each other through them, again and again.
With that in mind, Curtis and Candice will now share their vows.
Dearly beloved and honored guests,
We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Curtis P. Mattull and Candice M. Clark in marriage.
Marriage is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and with deep intention. It is a commitment built on love, loyalty, patience, and understanding—the foundations of a strong and lasting partnership.
Today, Curtis and Candice choose each other, not just for this moment, but for all the days to come.
Curtis and Candice will now share their vows.
(Vows)
Curtis, do you take Candice to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and in challenges, for richer or for poorer, and to be faithful to her for as long as you both shall live?
(Wait for “I do”)
Candice, do you take Curtis to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and in challenges, for richer or for poorer, and to be faithful to him for as long as you both shall live?
(Wait for “I do”)
Curtis and Candice will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment—an outward sign of an inward promise.
(Ring Exchange)
By the authority vested in me by American Marriage Ministries and the State of Indiana, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Curtis, you may kiss your bride.
