"It was an honor to Officiate Dylan and Nichole’s wedding. I wish them both a lifetime of love💗"
**Invocation**
Welcome, loved ones. We gather on this joyful occasion to celebrate love, laughter, and light on Dylan and Nichole’s wedding day. And each of you here represents a piece of their lives. Whether you came into their lives years ago, or more recently, your presence here is a gift – and I know it means a lot to them. So, thank you for being here! The contract of marriage is most solemn and is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities.
Always remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundation of a happy and enduring home.
Dylan and Nichole, today, your lives blend seamlessly together, and you are about to embark on the greatest of adventures. A new path is ahead of you, and to navigate it well, there are skills to be learned and practiced daily.
Wilferd A. Peterson's “The Art of Marriage” sums it up best.
“Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.
A good marriage must be created.
It is remembering to say "I love you" at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is speaking words of appreciation
and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is not looking for perfection in each other.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal,
dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocated.
It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner.
It is discovering what marriage can be, at its best.”
**Declaration of intent**
With this wisdom and your love in mind, I now ask you…
Dylan, do you take Nichole to be your lawfully wedded wife? Do you promise to love her and comfort her, honor her, and keep her in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or for worse and be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?
(I do)
Nichole, do you take Dylan to be your lawfully wedded husband? Do you promise to love him and comfort him, honor him, and keep him in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, for better or for worse and be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?
(I do)
**Exchanging of vows**
Dylan and Nichole, you have both decided to write your own vows, but before you pledge those vows to one another, let us pause for a moment and take in the beauty that surrounds us here. Turn and look at your guests and feel their love for you – as well as the love you have for each other. Please look into each other’s eyes as you share your promises with each other.
**Ring exchange**
We now come to one of the most meaningful moments in today’s ceremony—the exchanging of the rings.
Dylan, please take the ring you have chosen for Nichole, and as you place it on her finger, repeat after me: “With this ring, I thee wed. I give you my heart, my soul, and my love, now and forever.”
Nichole, please take the ring you have chosen for Dylan, and as you place it on his finger, repeat after me: “With this ring, I thee wed. I give you my heart, my soul, and my love, now and forever.”
May these rings always remind you of the love and commitment you have for one another and be a constant reminder of the vows you have taken today.
**Pronouncement**
Dylan and Nichole, true marriage is more than just a ceremony or a piece of paper. It is a lasting bond that joins two lives and two hearts. Marriage is love, companionship, trust, and respect. May you always find strength in each other, laugh with each other, and find safety and comfort in each other’s words and company. May you celebrate many joyful seasons together, support each other when days are difficult, and continue to learn and grow closer together with each passing year.
By the power vested in me by American Marriage Ministries and the beautiful State of Pennsylvania, here in the company of those who love and support you, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Dylan, you may now kiss your bride.
**Presentation of the newlyweds**
It is my great honor and privilege to introduce to you for the first time...
