Officiated by Sean Alexander Davis at Public Park in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on April 14th, 2026. Witnessed by Katie Davis and Cyndi Cotton.
"The couple are high school sweethearts. They're names are Lucas and Nicci Davis. They've been together 1 year. They have shown nothing but growing love and commitment to each other. They're has been nothing but support from the family. They are pursuing a life together through the U.S. military. Lucas Davis has recently enlisted into the U.S. Marines. They recently planned their wedding for June but due to changes recently made by the military his departure date was changed to May instead of July. I planned and rehearsed the ceremony around 25 times. My nerves struck me as soon as I saw those two holding hands at the alter. Their energy and love was radiating. You could truly feel that this was true love coming together. To bring it even more home was the mother and daughter coming together. The healing started that day as well and a family was growing stronger. The wedding was small but had all the emotion, energy, and love as one of those unique one of a kind weddings that was priceless. This moment will truly last forever in my heart and mind."
Hello everyone,
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Sean—Lucas’s dad. Which means I’ve known him his entire life… and I have a lot of stories.
Don’t worry, Nicci—I’ve been told to keep this short, sweet, and not ruin the wedding before it starts. So I’ll save the truly good stories for later.
Today is about something really special—the love between Lucas and Nicci and honestly, it’s about time. These two found each other, and the rest of us have been lucky enough to witness it.
-
Lucas, I’ve watched you grow into a man I’m incredibly proud of. Raising you has been one of the greatest achievements of my life. That evening you wished for me to be your dad was the start of our journey together. You’ve always had a big heart… and Nicci, you somehow made that even bigger. Lucas you chosen someone truly special to start your own journey with.
Nicci, from the moment you came into Lucas’s life, it was very obvious—you are the real deal. You are beautiful inside and out. You bring warmth and kindness into all our lives. Your impact on Lucas is very noticeable. He smiles more, laughs more, and somehow even listens better. As his dad, I truly appreciate that last one.
Together, you two just make sense. Like coffee in the morning… or pizza at literally any time of day… or saying “just one more episode” and somehow ending up five episodes deep.
-
I want to share something that really captures what marriage is.
Marriage is more than a partnership—it’s a circle. A strong, unbroken circle made by two people holding on to each other with both hands.
Lucas and Nicci, today you’re creating that circle.
A two-handed circle built on love, trust, and commitment.
Hold onto each other through everything—the easy days and the hard ones. Don’t let go when life gets messy, and don’t let anything or anyone come between you in a way that breaks what you’re building.
Because inside that circle is where your love lives. It’s where your strength is and it’s something only the two of you can protect.
-
Marriage isn’t just about the big moments—the wedding day, the celebrations, the milestones. It’s about the small, everyday things.
The laughter over nothing. The quiet support on hard days. The decision, over and over again, to choose each other.
It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being perfectly committed.
And sometimes… it’s about knowing when to say “I’m sorry”… and when to say “you were right.” Even when it hurts a little.
-
Now, Lucas and Nicci, please face each other and join hands—go ahead, start that circle right now.
Lucas, repeat after me:
“I, Lucas, take you, Nicci,
to be my wife,
my partner, my best friend.
I promise to love you and
support you.
To make you laugh—
even when you don’t want to.
To keep holding onto you
no matter what comes our way.
For all the days of my life.”
Nicci, repeat after me:
“I, Nicci, take you, Lucas,
to be my husband,
my partner, my best friend.
I promise to love you and
support you.
To stand by your side.
To hold onto you always—
through everything life brings.
For all the days of my life.”
-
The rings, please.
These rings are a symbol of that circle—no beginning, no end. Just like the love you’re promising today.
Lucas, as you place the ring on Nicci’s finger, repeat after me:
“With this ring, I give you my heart—
and I will never let you go.”
Nicci, as you place the ring on Lucas’s finger:
“With this ring, I give you my heart—
and I will never let you go.”
-
Lucas and Nicci, you’ve made your promises, joined your hands, and created a circle that begins today and lasts forever.
And as Lucas’s dad, I can say with complete confidence—this is exactly how it’s supposed to be.
So by the power vested in me… mostly by being his dad and being ordained by American Marriage Ministries.
I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Lucas… you may kiss your bride.
-
Everyone, it is my absolute honor to introduce to you for the very first time… Mr. and Mrs. Davis!
Let’s hear it for them!
