Dearly beloved guest,
We are gathered here today to celebrate and witness the union of Monica Salmeron and John Silva in marriage.
Marriage is one of life’s greatest gifts. It is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully, respectfully, and with a deep understanding of the promises and responsibilities it brings. At the heart of every lasting marriage are love, loyalty, patience, and understanding.
I have known John and Monica as individuals and as a couple, and it is my honor and privilege to be marrying them today. I am excited for this season they are entering and to see the beautiful future they will create together.
As it is written in Proverbs 3:3, “Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.” May Monica and John carry these words with them throughout their marriage.
Today, Monica and John stand before those they love to make a commitment to one another and to begin the next chapter of their lives together.
Monica and John will now share their vows.
(Repeat after me)
Monica, please repeat after me:
I, Monica, take you, John, to be my husband, my partner, and my best friend. I promise to love you, to stand by your side, to support you, and to share in all of life’s joys and challenges. I will honor and cherish you for all the days of my life.
John, please repeat after me:
I, John, take you, Monica, to be my wife, my partner, and my best friend. I promise to love you, to stand by your side, to support you, and to share in all of life’s joys and challenges. I will honor and cherish you for all the days of my life.
Monica, do you take John to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as you both shall live?
(Wait for confirmation)
John, do you take Monica to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, for as long as you both shall live?
(Wait for confirmation)
Monica and John will now exchange rings as a symbol of the promises they have made and the love they share.
(Ring Exchange)
These rings are a symbol of unending love. As you wear them, may they remind you always of the vows you have made here today and of the life you will build together.
And as you begin this new chapter together, remember the words of 1 Corinthians 16:14: “Let all that you do be done in love.” May love continue to guide your marriage each and every day.
By the authority vested in me by American Marriage Ministries and the State of New Jersey, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
John, you may kiss your bride!
