Madison Putnam And Joseph Singleton Huff’s Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

Officiant: "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sight of God and in the presence of this company to witness the union of [Madison Putnam] and [Joseph Huff] in holly matrimony. Marriage is a holy estate instituted by God, not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, advisedly, and with God’s blessing."

Opening Prayer

"Heavenly Father, we humbly bow before you today, thanking you for the gift of love and for bringing [Madison Putnam] and [Joseph Huff] together. Bless them as their two lives become one. Bless their home as a place of love, peace, and joy. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen."

Scripture Reading

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

The Declaration of Intent (The "I Dos")

Officiant (to Partners): "Do you, [Madison Putnam], take [Joseph Huff] to be your wedded husband, to live together in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honour and keep him, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, remain true to him as long as you both shall live?"

"Do you, [Joseph Huff], take [Madison Putnam] to be your wedded wife, to live together in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her/him, honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, remain true to her as long as you both shall live?"

The Exchange of Rings

Officiant: "Bless, O Lord, these rings that they may be a constant sign of the pledge and faithfulness that you make to each other through Christ our Lord."

"[Madison], I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, with all that I am and all that I have, I honor you, in the name of God."

“[Joseph], I give you this ring as a symbol of my vow, with all that I am and all that I have, I honor you, in the name of God."

Closing Prayer & Blessing

Officiant: "May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord look upon you with favour and give you peace. Amen."

Pronouncement and Kiss

Officiant: "[Partner A] and [Partner B], having pledged your love and commitment to one another in the eyes of God, by the power vested in me by the Commonwealth of KY and American Marriage Ministries, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride.
