Wedding Ceremony Script for Amy & Madison
Officiant:
Welcome, everyone! Family, friends, and loved ones, we are gathered here today to celebrate the love and commitment of two incredible women, Amy and Madison. Today is more than just a ceremony; it is a promise, a declaration, and a beautiful milestone in their journey together as they blend their lives and their families.
Love, in its purest form, is about finding a person who truly sees you—who accepts you as you are and encourages you to become even more. Amy and Madison have found that in each other. Their love is built on laughter, adventure, deep understanding, and unwavering support. It is a love that is strong, intentional, and beautifully their own. Madison may have said the words “I love you” first, right before emergency surgery, but it was because she wanted Amy to know how much she meant to her. And of course Amy, in her own special way responded, “I know.”
So, because we all know Amy and Madison, we can see just how much they do love each other. And, Amy and Madison, you have both shared with me what you love most about each other.
Amy loves that Madison is patient with all things. Amy says that Madison is the “calm to my chaos and she knows when to pull me in and when to give me space. Amy loves Madison’s drive in life and how Madison encourages her to pursue the things that speak to her. Amy says, “I can do those things because of her support.”
Madison loves that Amy is the most beautifully thought person she’s ever met in life. She says, “Amy’s heart is beautiful. She cares for and wants the best for everyone. She defends those she loves and those who need a strong person in their corner. I never have to question if she has my back.” And in typical Madison fashion, she also said, and i quote, “She’s also hot AF.”
Marriage is not about perfection; it is about choosing each other, even on the hard days. It is about growing together, facing life’s uncertainties as a team, and celebrating every joy side-by-side. In life and in marriage, you never know what might be thrown your way. But it’s knowing you will face it hand-in-hand together. Today, as you stand before us, you are making a promise—not just in words, but in the way you will love each other for all the years to come.

Declaration of Intent & Vows
Officiant:
Of course, this is not the beginning of your love story. I do remember a couple years ago standing under a tent, poolside at a swim meet. And Amy couldn’t quit talking about this amazing woman she had just started seeing a few weeks prior. And the both of your told me that you had an instant connection. Today, as you marry each other, this is just another step in building your life together. With that in mind, I ask you both:
Amy, do you take Madison to be your wife, your partner, and your greatest love? Do you promise to stand beside her, to support her dreams, to laugh with her, and to navigate all of life’s adventures together? Do you vow to cherish and respect her, to hold her hand through every challenge, and to celebrate every joy by her side? Do you choose her today and every day, for all the days of your life?
Amy: I do.

Ring Exchange
Officiant:
Amy and Madison, these rings are a symbol of the promises you are making today. They have no beginning and no end, just like the love and commitment you share. Every time you look at these rings, may they remind you of this moment, of the vows you have spoken, and of the life you are building together.
Officiant to Amy:
Amy, as you place this ring on Madison’s finger, repeat after me:
"Madison, with this ring, I promise to love you, honor you, and stand beside you.
(Amy repeats)
Through every joy and every challenge, I choose you—today, tomorrow, and always."
(Amy repeats and places the ring on Madison’s finger.)
