"Kristin has been my best friend for over 10 years! Being able to officiate her and her amazing husband’s wedding was an honor! I had so much fun! I was nervous but everything turned out great! They did a tree potting ceremony. Family only ceremony then open reception. I turned into the MC of the wedding as well. Announce ing toasts and cake cutting. It was so much fun and I can not wait for my next one! "

Welcome, everyone. We gather here today to celebrate the wedding of Greg Thill and Kristin Grebler.
You all have come here to share in the formal commitment they are making to one another, to offer your love and support to this union, and to allow Greg and Kristin to start their married life together surrounded by the people dearest and most important to them.
So welcome to one and all, who have traveled from near and far. Greg and Kristin thank you for your presence here today and now ask for your blessing, encouragement, and lifelong support of their decision to be married.
Two people in love do not live in isolation. Their love is a source of strength with which they may nourish not only each other but also the world around them. And in turn, we, their community of family, have a responsibility to this couple. By our steadfast care, respect, and love, we can support their marriage and the new family they are creating here today.
Will you who are present here today, promise to surround Greg and Kristin in love, offering them the joys of your friendship and supporting them in their marriage? If so, please say “we will”.
GUESTS: We will.
Officiant: Thank you!
Officiant: Greg and Kristin, you will now take part in a Tree Planting Ceremony, to symbolize your relationship and the continued growth of your love.
Greg and Kristin walk to tree
Greg and Kristin put tree in pot while Officiant continues.
Officiant: Let your marriage be like this tree you plant today. As you add the soil let this symbolize the foundation of love and commitment that you are building your life on. Let it grow lush and strong. Let it stand firm during the harsh winds, rains, and storms and come through unscathed. Like this tree, your marriage requires nurturing and nourishment. As you water this young tree, reflect on what your relationship requires to thrive. Remember that the needs of a relationship evolve, and remain attentive to the care required to maintain your bond.
As you consider the commitments you will continually make to each other, we come to the point of the ceremony where we would pronounce your vows.
Greg and Kristin walk back to altar
Officiant: However Greg and Kristin have decided with me witnessing to say their vows to each other in private before the ceremony.
DON’T WORRY! They didn’t see each other! They were both holding hands around a corner of their home.
Now Greg and Kristin I would like you both to reflect on that private moment and think of the beautiful words you shared with one another.
I ask you to remember that love—which is rooted in trust, and acceptance—will be the foundation of an abiding and deepening relationship. No other ties are more tender, no other vows more sacred than those you now assume. If you are able to keep the vows you take here today, not because of any civic law, but out of a desire to love and be loved by another person fully, without limitation, then your life will have joy and the home you establish will be a place in which you both will find the direction of your growth, your freedom, and your responsibility.
Officiant: May I have the rings please? Greg, please place the ring on Kristin’s finger and repeat after me.
“I give you this ring as a symbol of my love [Greg repeats] our strength together [Greg repeats] and my promise to learn and grow with you [Greg repeats]."
Kristin, please place the ring on Greg’s finger and repeat after me.
“I give you this ring as a symbol of my love ["Kristin" repeats] our strength together ["Kristin" repeats] and my promise to learn and grow with you ["Kristin" repeats]."
Officiant: Do you, "Greg", take this woman to be your wedded wife?
"Greg": I do.
Officiant: Do you, "Kristin", take this man to be your wedded husband?
"Kristin": I do.
Officiant: By the power of your love and commitment, and the power vested in me by the State of North Carolina, and the American Marriage Ministries, I now pronounce you husband and wife!
