Dearly Beloved and Honored Family and Friends,

Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you all for being here today to celebrate something truly beautiful- the love between Kayleigh and Thomas. 1 John 4:18-19 " We love because he first loved us."

Weddings are more than a ceremony. They are a moment where time almost pauses. A moment where we look at two people standing together and realize that out of all the billions of people in the world... they found each other. It is about two lives, two families, and two stories coming together to start a new chapter.

As Kayleigh's sibling, I have had a front row seat to her life. I have had the privilege of watching her grow into the incredible woman she is today. I've seen her at her happiest, her strongest, and yes probably at a few moments she hopes I have forgotten. Growing up together, sharing memories, enduring all of the chaos and probably a few arguments along the way, and through it all she has been one of the most important people in my life. she has always been someone who cares deeply about the people in her life.

But one of the greatest moments for me was seeing the day Thomas came into her life, it did not take long to see how happy you have made her. Because from that moment on, something changed. Her smile got a little bigger. Her laughter got a little louder. And it became clear that she had found someone who truly sees her, supports her, and loves her for exactly who she is. Thomas, thank you for loving my sister, it means more to our family than you will probably ever know.

Love is not perfect.....Love is not always easy.....But real love is choosing each other every day. It is showing up on the good days and the hard ones. It is about building a life where love, trust, and respect guide everything you do together.

One of the most beautiful descriptions of love in the bible comes from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

and later in this chapter we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 13:13 " and now these three remain : faith, hope, and love. but the greatest of these is love."

Kayleigh and Thomas, as you stand here today surrounded by the people who love you most, remember this moment.

Remember how it feels to look at each other right now.

Because this feeling - this promise - is what will carry you through everything that life brings your way.

Marriage is not simply all about finding the perfect person. It is about patience, forgiveness, grace, and kindness. and that is exactly what we are reminded of in Colossians 3:12-17 "Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father."
