Dearly Beloved,
We’re so grateful you could join us here today. You may have noticed that we have a couple professional photographers here today – they’re here to give us amateurs a day off! So we ask that you put away and silence your devices, sit back, enjoy the ceremony, and be sure to show off your good side!”
We are gathered together here to join Janesta Dennis and Carl Dewberry in the spiritual union of marriage. I would like to first mention that Carl was the officiant for my wife and I a few years ago, so I suppose this makes us even. I met Carl many years ago through work and we quickly hit it off. One thing that bond Carl and I is what is coloquily refered to as fomo. Which stands for fear of missing out. We both understand that life is short and we plan to spend it creating great memories with those who matter most to us. Carl you are truly a great friend, thank you brother. Now Janesta, what a beautiful bride you have, Carl. Janesta is such a thoughtful and caring person. She once on the fly stitched me a bucket hat for my birthday. She brought over cookies to my wife who couldnt attend the annual cookie party due to an allergic reaction. She also gifted us beautiful handmade blankets for the birth of both of my children. I think the story here is we have two individuals who live a full life and are willing sacrifice for those they love. They know how to put others needs above their wants and make a conscious effort to show how much they care. These qualities will be crucial in a lasting marriage. I have no doubt that the two of you will love and sacrifice for each other until your dieing day.
To all their guests here today, they are thrilled to share this moment with you. They have known most of you for many years. You watched them grow up, you went to school with them, or you worked with them. Because you are the ones who have supported them and known them so well, it is only fitting that you are the ones to share this once-in-a-lifetime moment with them.
Officiant:
We come now to the words Carl and Janesta want to hear the most today…the words that take them across the threshold from being engaged to being married.
A marriage, as most of us understand it, is a voluntary and full commitment. It is made in the deepest sense to the exclusion of all others, and it is entered into with the desire and hope that it will last for life.
Before you declare your vows to one another, I want to hear you confirm that it is indeed your intention to be married today.
Carl, do you come here freely and without reservation to give yourself to Janesta in marriage? If so, answer “I do.”
Groom:
I do.

Your wedding rings are the outward and visible sign of the inward and invisible bond which already unites you two hearts in love.
Carl, place the ring on Janesta’s finger and repeat after me….
