Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,
We’re so grateful you could join us here today In Gilbert, Arizona. I did have to pull some strings so to keep the temperature below 100 for you out of towners. You may have noticed that we have a couple professional photographers here today – they’re here to give us amateurs a day off! So we ask that you put away and silence your devices, sit back, enjoy the ceremony, and be sure to show off your good side!” I’ll be available for a picture on your IPhone after the show.
All Rise
You may be seated.
We are gathered together here to join Tatum Armitage and Jaunru Wisner in the spiritual union of marriage. I do not know why I was chosen for today's ceremony but it's either because I'm the driver for a flower girl and ring bearer or my timely jokes. While I believe it's the the later, Tatum punches me a lot. That's what makes Tatum special, she's full of Moxie. She cares hard, she loves hard and Jaunru is gonna have to be hard headed to mess this up.
As for Juanru, I knew he was cool when we laughed at a few of my one liners too. I knew I liked him a lot when I saw the way he cared for Tatum's every need. I liked him even more when I saw him get willingly drug around by my young daughter who's screaming, Uncle, come here!
To all their guests here today, they are so happy to share this moment with you. They have known most of you for many years. You watched them grow up, you went to school with them, or you worked with them. Because you are the ones who have supported them and know them so well, it is only fitting that you are the ones to share this once-in-a-lifetime moment with them.
Officiant:
We come now to the words Jaunru and Tatum want to hear the most today…the words that take them across the threshold from being engaged to being married.
A marriage, as most of us understand it, is a voluntary and full commitment. It is made in the deepest sense to the exclusion of all others, and it is entered into with the desire and hope that it will last for life.
Before you declare your vows to one another, I want to hear you confirm that it is indeed your intention to be married today.
Jaunru, do you come here freely and without reservation to give yourself to Tatum in marriage? If so, answer “I do.”
Groom:
I do.
