Debra and Jonathan Staley

The Wedding of Debra Ann White & Jonathan Michael Staley

Officiated by Bradley Daniel White at Doty Ranch in Gonzales, Texas on February 21st, 2026.

ABOUT THIS WEDDING

"I was nervous at first, but knew I was able to do it. I printed it on 7 note cards. By the time I got through the first card I was no longer nervous. I was told by several people that they would have never known it was my first wedding to officiate if I hadn't told them."

Opening

Good afternoon everyone.

On behalf of Debra and Jonathan, I want to welcome you all. We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life’s greatest moments — the joining of two hearts, two families, and two lives.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Brad — Debra’s brother — and it is one of the greatest honors of my life to stand here and officiate this marriage.

Marriage is more than a ceremony. It is a promise. A daily choice. A commitment to love each other not only when life is easy, but especially when it’s not.

Today isn’t just about a beautiful dress, a great ranch, or even this moment right here. It’s about a lifetime of mornings, laughter, challenges, adventures, forgiveness, and growing together.

Words About Marriage

Love is patient and kind.

It celebrates the good days and steadies us through the hard ones.

A strong marriage isn’t built in grand gestures alone — it’s built in the everyday moments:

• Choosing to listen

• Choosing to forgive

• Choosing to show up

• Choosing each other, again and again

Debra and Jonathan, today you are making the most meaningful promise two people can make — to walk through life side by side.

Prayer

Let us pray.

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for bringing Debra and Jonathan together and for the love that has grown between them. Thank You for the families and friends gathered here today to witness and celebrate this moment.

Lord, we ask for Your blessing on their marriage.

Give them patience in difficult moments,

wisdom in their decisions,

grace in their misunderstandings,

and joy in their everyday life together.

Help them to always remember why they chose each other today.

May their home be filled with laughter, peace, and unwavering love.

Strengthen their bond, guide their steps,

and let their marriage reflect commitment, kindness, and faith.

We ask all of this in Your name.

Amen.

Declaration of Intent

Jonathan, do you take Debra to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love her, honor her, support her, and stand by her through all the seasons of life, for as long as you both shall live?

Jonathan: I do.
