"Jaden and Kenzie met in middle school at Pike Central through friends. They started dating and had been together quite awhile leading to them getting through college, buying a house, and finally getting married. Jaden and Kenzie’s love has stood the test of time even prior to marriage, and they have found a way to grow together. I was grateful to be the one to join these two together legally and most importantly before God. The experience was wonderful and I am thankful to have had the opportunity. "

Welcome & Opening
“Family and friends, we are gathered here today in the presence of God to witness and celebrate the love that Kenzie and Jaden share.
Opening Prayer
“Let us pray.
“Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing us together on this precious day. We ask Your blessing on Kenzie and Jaden as they begin their marriage in just a few moments.
May their future entail a love that is always patient and kind full of honor and respect for one another. May they choose selflessness over selfishness, forgiveness over bitterness, and joy over anger. May their love never delight in what is wrong, but always rejoice in what is true and good.
Lord, may this love be a reflection of Your perfect love—one that protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres through every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
Message
“Love stories begin in many ways, some find their love late in life… others find it at Pike Central middle school in the great town of Petersburg Indiana. Brought together by friends who can forever claim what every wingman hopes to claim “I introduced them, and they got married”
Jaden and Kenzie’s story is an example of dedication to each other, loyalty, and unconditional love giving them every right to call each other middle school sweethearts.
They didn’t fall in love in one single moment their love grew as they grew, they celebrated milestones side by side: high school, college, new jobs, buying a house, and now, today… Each step only strengthened their love showing they can grow together physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
Their love story kicked off at age fifteen with a movie date… Jaden’s mom, Keena, as the third wheel. That simple start was the beginning of why we are all here today. Over the years Kenzie has fallen in love with Jaden’s goofy, sarcastic humor and his relentless dedication to their life together, while Jaden has fallen in love over the years with Kenzie’s infectious joy, her drive to become a nurse, and the way she makes every adventure whether a big trip or just an ordinary day feel extraordinary.
Together, they’ve found joy in the simple things, like being homebodies on quiet weekends or traveling to new MLB stadiums. Their relationship truly is the living proof of what God tells us in 1 Corinthians 13: that ‘Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. And never fails.’
Today it is my honor to assist them as they make a covenant to continue that love for the rest of their lives.”
Exchange of Rings
“Kenzie and Jaden, the vows you make today are promises for a lifetime. Love starts as a feeling and overwhelming joy and life just seems better but that love turns into action and effort some days you’ll celebrating your victories while other days you’ll be lifting each other up. Which brings me to my last piece of advice to you two. Which is to remember the good and to not forget what you learned from the difficult… be quick to listen and slow to anger.
Jaden please repeat after me
‘I, Jaden, take you, Kenzie, to be my wife.
I promise to love you, honor you, and stand by you,
in good times and in hard times.
I will encourage you, laugh with you,
and walk with you in faith and in love,
for all the days of my life.’
Kenzie please repeat after me
‘I, Kenzie, take you, Jaden, to be my husband.
I promise to love you, honor you, and stand by you,
in good times and in hard times.
I will encourage you, laugh with you,
and walk with you in faith and in love,
for all the days of my life.’
Exchange of Rings
“May I have the rings?
These rings are symbols of your unending love and faithfulness. As you place them on each other’s hands, remember this promise: your love is to be unbroken, constant, and like the circle of this ring, infinite.”
“Jaden, as you place this ring on Kenzie’s finger, please repeat after me:
I give you this ring as a sign of my love and faithfulness.
As it circles your finger without end,
so my love for you will never end.”
“Kenzie, as you place this ring on Jaden’s finger, please repeat after me:
I give you this ring as a sign of my love and faithfulness.
As it circles your finger without end,
so my love for you will never end.”
Candle lighting
(moms come up as saying this)
At this time I would like to invite up Shelly and Keena for the candle ceremony. This event symbolises what the Bible states in Matthew 19:5-6 ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
as Shelly and Keena light these two candles this represents Kenzie and Jaden as individuals in the eyes of God. When the two join to combine the flames to one candle showing the unity of one flesh they will inherit from God this day forth.
(after saying this Jaden and Kenzie combine flames)
