"Doug and Heather actually met while both were patients at an Indianapolis Hospital. Having met and talked daily, they began a friendship. After both were discharged they continued that friendship be talking on the phone. That gradually led to a first date, then another. This continued to blossom into a romantic relationship over a period of time leading him to ask for her hand in marriage. Doug is actually my nephew by marriage so when they approached me with a request to officiate their union, I readily agreed. In talking with the both of them, and spending time as a family, I could see that their love was genuine. It was a pleasure and honor for me to join them in matrimony. This was my first time officiating and I was nervous of course and so afraid that I would make a mistake. Both assured me I would do fine and after starting, I was able to go through with the wedding script with ease. A great experience for me and an honor to be a part of their wedding."
