Family and friends, welcome and thank you all for coming. We are gathered here today to join Denise Marie Lucas and Patrick Sean Quinn in marriage.

Denise and Pat, today marks the beginning of a life of giving and sharing, nurturing and supporting one another, allowing each to have the freedom to change and grow as individuals while developing your mutual spirit.

Marriage, like any great adventure, is about building something amazing – one piece at a time. It’s like Pat’s ever-growing Lego collection: it takes time, patience, and a shared vision, but each new piece makes the whole even stronger.

In a moment, you’ll share your promises to each other. As you uphold these vows over the years, investing your time, love, and commitment, you’ll find that life’s joyful moments become even sweeter because you’ll share them together. Now, please face each other and hold hands. Is it your intention to take each other as husband and wife for as long as you both shall live?

Denise and Pat, you have chosen to write your own vows, and it is with these words you express your binding promises to love, honor, and cherish one another. These vows are the heart of your ceremony, the promises you’ll return to throughout your marriage.

Pat, is there anything you’d like to say? [Denise passes Pat the microphone.]

[Pull ring pouch from my pocket] The rings you are about to put on each other's fingers symbolize the love you have just expressed. They will serve as a reminder of the vows you have spoken and of the eternal love you share.

Denise, as you place this ring on Patrick's finger, please repeat after me. [Hand Denise Pat’s ring]

Denise and Pat, may your love be as epic as a Ravens Super Bowl win, as legendary as the Star Wars galaxy, and as carefully built as that Lego collection.

Sustaining a healthy marriage takes more than just love. It takes trust, honesty, patience, teamwork, compromise, and understanding. You will need to have faith in each other to go forward together, into an unpredictable future. It will take dedication to stay open to one another and to learn and grow together.

You both have declared your intent to marry, you have promised to be committed to one another, and have exchanged your rings. There is only one thing left for me to do...
