Mom and Dad, when you first joined hands and hearts in marriage 50 years ago, you did not know where life would take you. You promised to love, honor, and cherish one another through all things.

Life has surely brought you both wonderful blessings and difficult challenges over the years. But here you are today, continuing to fulfill the vows and promises you each made on your wedding day. 

 

As you celebrate here today, and as you reflect back over all the years as husband and wife, we ask you now to restate the vows you took 50 years ago. 

Mom, Dad, will you please face each other and join hands.

Today as Marty and Larenda re-seal their commitment to each other with the joining of hands, they also promise their continued commitment to their family.

In front of their three beautiful daughters, they will reaffirm their love for one another.

Crystal, Heather, and I recognize the significant role that we all play in the marriage we celebrate today. We are a family drawn together by love and held together by devotion and, at times, pure stubbornness.

 

Dad, do you continue to have Mom as your spouse and to live together in this happy and loving marriage?

Dad, Mom, you have just renewed the promises and vows you made to each other 50 years ago. You have symbolized the renewal of the marriage union by the joining of hands and the restating of vows.

It is my privilege to say, by the power vested in me, by the American Marriage Ministries and the State of Washington, I re-pronounce you Husband and Wife!
