Officiated by Jody J Andrus at Backyard in Bath, New York on August 30th, 2025. Witnessed by Jonathon Deats and Natalie Wooley.
"It was my first time officiating a wedding. I thought I would be very nervous, but i prayed about it and asked for God's grace and I did a great job! I received many complements. Very happy with the outcome!!"
Good afternoon, welcome family and friends to the ceremony that will unite Jersei and Will in marriage. We gather here today to celebrate their marriage, and to honor the commitment they are making to one another. Today Jersei and Will proclaim their love and marital intentions to all of us. This is the time that they have chosen to become husband and wife. We are here not only to witness their commitment to one another, but to wish them every happiness in their future life together.
In marriage, we give ourselves freely and generously into the hands of the one we love, and in doing so, each of us receives the love and trust of the other as the most precious gift. But even as that gift is shared by two people who are in love, it also touches the friends and family members who in various ways support and contribute to the relationship.
All of us here today are Jersei and Will’s family, and each of us has played some part in bringing them to this moment. This is why gathering as a family is such an important part of a wedding ceremony. Jersei and Will would like to take this opportunity to present a token of their love and devotion to their families.
Pause
Jersei and Will, we are so grateful and happy that you have found your way to each other and have decided to profess your love to one another by becoming husband and wife; we love you and cherish your friendships.
Always remember………….
Love is always patient and kind.
It is never jealous.
Love is never boastful or conceited, it is never rude or selfish, it does not take offense and is not resentful.
Love takes no pleasure in other people's faults but delights in the truth.
It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope.
It is always ready to endure whatever comes.
True love does not come to an end.
Jersei and Will, we are here to remember and rejoice with you and to acknowledge with one another that it is your love for one another that has brought us here today. Love is what guides us on our path; it is what makes life worth living and worth celebrating. As you begin your married life together hold onto your love and cherish it every day.
Exchanging of Vows
May I have the rings please.
For thousands of years, couples have exchanged rings as a token of their vows. These simple gold bands are not of great value in themselves but are made precious by our wearing them.
Your rings say that even in your uniqueness you have chosen to be bound together. Let these rings also be a sign that love has substance as well as soul, a present as well as a past, and that, despite its occasional sorrows, love is a circle of happiness, wonder, and delight.
Will the woman who stands by your side is going to be your wife. She will look to you for comfort, for support, for love, for understanding, for encouragement, and for protection. You must never take her for granted and always stand by her for good or ill.
Will, take Jersei’s ring and hold it to your heart, and repeat after me:
Just as this circle is without end, my love for you is eternal
Just like this ring, it is made of everlasting substance
My commitment to you will never fail
Will place the ring on Jersei’s finger and repeat after me:
With this ring I take you to be my trusted confidante
and partner for life.
Jersei the man who stands by your side is going to be your husband. He will look to you for comfort, for support, for love, for understanding, for encouragement, and for protection. You must never take him for granted, and always stand by him for good or ill
Jersei, take Will's ring and hold it to your heart, and repeat after me:
Just as this circle is without end, my love for you is eternal
Just like this ring, it is made of everlasting substance
My commitment to you will never fail
Jersei place the ring on Will’s finger and repeat after me:
With this ring I take you to be my trusted confidante
and partner for life.
Jersei and Will you have declared before all of us that you will live together in marriage. You have made special promises to each other, which have been symbolized by the joining of hands, taking of vows and the giving and receiving of two rings. By the authority vested in me as a Minister of American Marriage Ministries and the State of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Will… you may kiss your bride.
Family and friends, it is my pleasure to announce to you for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Braun!
