Dearly beloved, we gather here today in the presence of God, family, and friends to witness and celebrate one of life’s greatest moments, the union of Joseph and Jamie in marriage.
Marriage is a sacred covenant, a promise of lifelong love and partnership. Today, Joseph and Jamie stand before us ready to declare their commitment, guided by faith, strengthened by love, and surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.
Scripture teaches us that love is patient, love is kind; it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres. Joseph and Jamie, may your marriage reflect this love - steady, faithful, and enduring.
“Joseph, do you want Jamie to be your wife? Do you promise to love her, honor her, encourage her, and remain faithful to her, as long as you both shall live?”
Joe: “I do.”
“Jamie, do you want Joseph to be your husband? Do you promise to love him, honor him, encourage him, and remain faithful to him, as long as you both shall live?”
Jamie: “I do.”
Joe and Jamie will now say their vows.
Joe repeat after me:
“I, Joseph, take you, Jamie, to be my wife. I promise to walk beside you in faith and love. I will cherish you, strengthen you, and stand with you in all seasons of life.”
And now Jamie repeat after me:
“I, Jamie, take you, Joseph, to be my husband. I promise to walk beside you in faith and love. I will cherish you, strengthen you, and stand with you in all seasons of life.”
It is time for Joseph and Jame to exchange their rings.
May these rings be a symbol of the unbroken circle of your love and the covenant you make today. As you place the ring on each other’s finger, repeat after me:
Joe repeat after me:
“With this ring, I give you my heart. I promise to love you today, tomorrow, and all the days of my life.”
Jamie repeat after me:
“With this ring, I give you my heart. I promise to love you today, tomorrow, and all the days of my life.”
May God bless your marriage and fill your home with peace, joy and unwavering love. May you always find strength in each other, and may your faith guide you through every chapter of your lives.
By the authority vested in me, and in the presence of God, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Joseph, you may kiss your bride.
