A Candlelight Wedding

The Wedding of Latrice D. Johnson & Glendon C. St. C. Bailey

Officiated by Mary Frances Perry at American Legion Post #108 in Cheverly, Maryland on May 9th, 2026.

ABOUT THIS WEDDING

"This is truly "Love In Bloom". It was a great experience to officiate Latrice and Glendon's Wedding. Latrice was so detailed as what she wanted her special day to be like. Glendon was so kind and told her what ever you want. Latrice made her own bride bouquet, which was so beautiful. This ceremony was a candle light through out the venue, sparkling light coming from each table. Yes of course we had the candle light ceremony added to the regular ceremony, which was so touching because Latrice added a picture of her son who had passed away. I incorporated some special and meaningful words to the ceremony which Latrice and Glendon truly loved that brought tears to their eyes. There was so much love that was felt in the entire venue. Latrice did get nervous as we approach closer to the date, but we talked and reviewed her plans and this included the Decorating crew, DJ, and Photographer, Caterer. I can say Latrice was attention to details. I was so excited for her because she is a good friend, we would both attend the Legion Post #108 once a week for senior hand dancers. Her ring bearer who was her nephew, not a child but a young adult who did not mind carrying the ring pillow with rings he was a true delight to work with, he made it fun. I loved the entire ceremony, the rehearsal paid off everyone made Latrice and Glendon's special day come true to what they were expecting. I can say their love for each other shows like a spark and a glow on their faces and it continues to bloom. I wish them both the best and I truly send them Peace, Love and Blessings!!!! "
