Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,
We are gathered together here to join Teri Morton and Jerome Mason in the spiritual union of "a promise kept". Teri and Jerome met by chance in 2007. Teri was celebrating a divorce, and Jerome was out on the town with his nephew LaRon. The attraction was that she loved to dance. So, they put their boots on the ground and partied. It would be three years later before they crossed paths again. You guessed it, it was again on the dance floor! This time, they decided to start dating. Teri knew she wanted to marry him. Jerome knew she was the one, but we know Jerome is a planner. He plans two years out! Life happens, and it wasn't following Jerome's timeline. However, we have gathered together today to be witnesses to a promise that has been kept.
Marriage is more than a contract. Marriage is a covenant between a man and a woman.
This covenant is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.
