OPENING:
REV. ASHLIE
Welcome, family and friends. We’re gathered here today to celebrate the union of John and Ammanda. Each of you here has had a role in this love story, sharing moments of laughter, connection, and support along the way, as these two found each other and fell in love. We know that this is what love looks like when you finally meet your soulmate! A love that delights in differences, and shines with honesty and openness. The love of these two, sharing in one grand adventure that started 9 years ago!
Love isn’t just a feeling. It’s an action, and a decision not to act. It’s an essence, and an energy, the invisible fabric of our cosmos, our paths woven together in intricate patterns of compassion, compromise, understanding, and acceptance. Love is a power greater than us, and within us. Love is language, and the warmth of sitting in shared silence with someone who truly sees us – the way John and Ammanda truly see each other.
Now, we celebrate with them as they commit to honor this love for a lifetime.

RING CEREMONY:
REV. ASHLIE
May I have the rings, please?
John and Ammanda have chosen to exchange rings as a sign of their commitment.
Each ring is a circle - a symbol of a shared path that is open and endless, without beginning or end. These rings are made of precious metal, unbreakable, like your bond. Wear them proudly as a reminder of the promises you make today.
REV. ASHLIE TO JOHN
John, please place Ammanda’s ring on her finger and make your vow to her, as you repeat after me.
AMMANDA, I give you this ring,
As a token and pledge
of my constant faith and everlasting love.
With this ring, I marry you.
REV. ASHLIE TO AMMANDA
Ammanda, please place John’s rings on His finger and make your vow to him as you repeat after me.
JOHN, I give you this ring,
in token and pledge
of my constant faith and everlasting love.
With this ring, I marry you.
Unity Candle Ceremony:
REV. ASHLIE
The two outside candles John and Ammanda are lighting represent all they were, all they are and all they will ever be.
They are two distinct lights, symbolizing not only the families that brought them to this moment, but also the two unique individuals entering into the sacred bond of matrimony.
As they each take a candle and together light the center one, it now represents the coming together of two lives in a marriage relationship. As this one light cannot be divided, neither shall their union be divided.
A marriage neither results in two distinct personalities, nor the complete surrender of individuals into a partnership. Rather it is a relationship that strengthens the individual through love, honor and respect.
WEDDING BLESSING :

May the moon softly restore you by night;

PRONOUNCEMENT:
John and Ammanda, you have pledged your commitment today, vowing to stand beside and support one another through all things.
By the power vested in me by the State of New York and through the witness of all here present, I now Pronounce you husband and wife.
