ABOUT THIS WEDDING

"I was very nervous but went out of my comfort zone for a dear friend. Being up there with Conner and Kelsey on their special day was a blessing. The best thing was seeing the smiles on their faces as they said their vows. "

Conner Bond And Kelsey Temples ’S Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

Conner Bond and Kelsey Temples

I’d like to welcome the family, the friends, and most importantly, the couple, Conner and Kelsey. Each and every one of us is honored to be here celebrating this incredibly joyous occasion, witnessing the most important day in their lives together. As Conner and Kelsey take their relationship to the next level, this gathering is a testament to love and solidarity.

Some might say that Conner and Kelsey are already committed to each other, and I wouldn’t disagree. But today, they are proclaiming that commitment not only to us, people closest to them, but to the world as well. They are saying, “we love each other, we support each other, and we want to spend the rest of our lives together”

Marriage is not something entered into lightly since it requires that each person be willing to support the other in both good times, and in bad. Marriage requires that each person, at times, put their wishes and needs second to those of their partner. One partner may need to laugh at jokes that aren’t funny or eat food that is not their taste. But in return, marriage provides a level of joy that one person by themselves cannot reach and, a type of love that only two people can create together.

Fawn Weaver says “A great spouse loves you exactly as you are. An extraordinary spouse helps you grow; inspires you to be, do and give your very best.”

This beautiful ceremony does not guarantee you will be together forever, and the license, it’s only paper. It takes love, respect, trust, understanding, friendship, and faith in your relationship to make it last.

Bride vows:

Minister: Will you take Conner to be your husband; will you honor, and cherish him in sickness and in health, now and forevermore?

Bride: I will/do

Minister: Do you promise to hold Conner’s hand, look him in the eyes, and listen to his hopes, dreams, and thoughts?

Bride: I will/do

Minister: Do you promise to always laugh at his goofy jokes:

Bride: I will/do

Groom vows:

Minister: Will you take Kelsey to be your wife; will you love, honor, and cherish her in sickness and in health, now and forevermore?

Groom: I will/do

Minister: Do you promise to hold Kelsey’s hand, listen to her needs, and do the little things that brighten her day?

Groom: I will/do

Minister: Do you promise to tease her, make silly jokes, and come up with new creative ways to driver her crazy?

Groom: I will/do

May I have the rings please

The wedding ring seals the vows of marriage and represents a promise of everlasting love. It is a physical manifestation of the promises joining this couple together. The wedding ring is placed on the fourth finger of the left hand because years ago, it was believed that this finger was a direct connection to the heart – the perfect place for a symbol representing love and commitment. These rings are the physical embodiment of the spiritual bond that now binds you two together.

As, you Conner/Kelsey, place this ring on Kelsey/Conner’s finger, please repeat after me: I promise to you, Kelsey/Conner, before our family and friends, to commit my love to you; to respect your individuality; to be with you through life’s changes; and to nurture and strengthen the love between us, as long as we both shall live.

Having just heard the wonderful vows you made to each other, I want to pass on a few words of wisdom to remember in the times ahead. As the pomp and circumstance of this wonderful wedding fades and life returns to normal, remember what you have promised to each other, in not only words, but also with the actions that led up to this marriage. It’s clear to us all that the words, actions, and accompanying thoughts that led you two to this moment were of love for each other and commitment to each other. And trust me when I say that both of these will be tested as you navigate married life together. There will be great times, but there also will be not-so-great times, and it is during the not-so-great times that you need to remember this day, and all the wonderful reasons why you got married. I know I speak for everyone here when I say that we are honored to have been chosen to witness those vows.

Conner and Kelsey, you have showered our hearts with expressions of your love, and promised each other the joy of all your days. Before these witnesses, it gives me great honor and pleasure to pronounce you husband and wife.

You may now kiss your bride

At the starting of the ceremony, you joined me in welcoming them by their individual names; now join me in celebrating them as the married couple Mr. and Mrs. Bond
