Welcome, everyone! We gather here today, surrounded by
your closest family and friends, to celebrate the union of two
incredible people, Rosa and Justin. It’s an honor to be here
today, not just as their officiant but as a friend and the best
brother’s girlfriend you could ever have.
As we stand here, it’s important to acknowledge those who
are not with us physically but are here in spirit. Today we
remember Richard Jones Sr. , who would have loved to
witness this day. Their love, guidance, and laughter still
resonate with us, reminding us of the importance of family.
Love is a remarkable journey. As Rosa and Justin stand
before us today, they are not just affirming their love for each
other but also their commitment to nurture and grow together
as partners.
In the Bible, we read in 1 Corinthians “Love is patient, love
is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It
does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight
in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always
trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
These words remind us that love is not just a feeling; it's an
action, a choice, and a commitment to stand by each other,
no matter the circumstances.
Now, Rosa and Justin have been together for several years.
They've weathered storms, conquered challenges, and built a
beautiful life together. You both have shown us what it
means to love wholeheartedly. Your journey has been filled
with laughter, shared dreams, and, of course, then there’s
parenthood. Eli, Smaya and Zion, your role in this journey is
nothing short of beautiful. Your laughter, curiosity, and
energy bring joy to their lives every day. Rosa and Justin, as
you continue to raise Zion, remember that he is watching
you, learning from your love, and witnessing how to build
his own relationships.
As you begin this new chapter, it’s important to recognize the
role that faith plays in your marriage. Keeping Christ at the
center of your relationship serves as a guiding light through
all of life's ups and downs. “A cord of three strands is not
easily broken.” This verse reminds us that a strong marriage
is built on more than just the love between two people; it is
also strengthened by the presence of Christ at its center.
When you weave your lives together with God’s love, you
create a bond that is unbreakable.
Now, we will move on to the most important part of this
ceremony—your vows. Rosa, will you please share your
vows with Justin?
**[Bride’s Vows]**
[Allow time for the bride to speak her vows.]
**[Groom’s Vows]**
And now, Justin, please share your vows with Rosa.
[Allow time for the groom to speak his vows.]
**[Ring Exchange]**
Now, let’s move on to the exchange of rings. These rings are
not just beautiful pieces of jewelry; they are symbols of your
love and commitment. They are a reminder that you are
always connected, no matter where life may take you.
Justin as you place this ring on Rosa's finger, repeat after me:
"With this ring, I give you my heart; I promise to love you,
today and always."
Rosa, as you place this ring on Justin's finger, repeat after
me: "With this ring, I give you my heart; I promise to love
you, today and always."
Let us Pray. Heavenly Father, we thank You for this day and
for the love that Rosa and Justin share. We ask that You bless
their marriage, guide them in their journey together, and fill
their home with joy. May they always seek You in their lives
and may their love for each other grow deeper each day.
Amen.
Now, by the power vested in me, by the State of NJ,
American Marriage Ministry and God, I am honored to
pronounce you husband and wife. Justin, you may kiss your
bride!
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to introduce to you
for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Jones! May your love
continue to grow, may your home be filled with laughter, and
may you always keep Christ at the center of your marriage
