A very wonderful greeting to all of you friends and chosen family here today. Welcome to the elopement of our dear friends, Faith and Mandy.
*Heartfelt Improv*
“Faith and Mandy’s wedding isn’t about getting married out of fear, it is a celebration of joyful defiance.” -quote from a friend
Now I invite the couple to read their prepared notes to one another:
- Reading of the Notes
[ring bearer hands the couple the rings]
[couple exchanges rings in their own time]
[take braid from book and hand to the couple]
- Handfasting
[one hand each, side by side, couple wraps themselves and minister speaks]
Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years, through their actions, and through their love.
[fasted loose, reset standing positions]
- Vows
With hands fasted, and rings exchanged, please repeat after me:
I, Faith Maria Lamb, take you, Mandy Michelle Lamb, for my lawful wife, to have and to hold from this day forward for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, and in health, until death do us part. I will love and honor you all the days of my life.

Quote: No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family. In forming a marital union, two people become something greater than once they were.
- Pronouncement
Well then, with the power vested in me by the American Marriage Ministries and the State of Nebraska, I now pronounce you Wife and Wife.
You may now kiss!
On this day, I am honored to present for the very first time: Mrs. and Mrs. Lamb
