Hello everyone, my name is Yvonne Trevino and I’ll be officiating today’s ceremony.

Intro

Before we begin, we have a special announcement. This will be an unplugged wedding ceremony, which means we kindly ask that you refrain from using your phones during this time. The couple has hired a professional photographer to capture these precious moments, and they want you to experience this moment with them, fully present, rather than through a screen.

With that said, we'll give you one minute now to take any photos you wish, especially for those who feel the need to share on social media. And yes, I'll be taking mine too!

1. Opening and Welcome

Family and friends, today, we gather to witness and celebrate the union of Michael and Dianaliz in marriage. Each of you here has been a part of their story, shaping the people they have become and supporting the love that brings us all together on this beautiful day.

2. The Couple’s Love Story

When Dianaliz and Michael first met, I happened to be visiting the Valley for my niece’s wedding. While I was occupied with family events, Dianaliz went out with her friends for drinks and to catch up. It was during this outing that she met Michael. I vividly remember her excitement as she recounted their meeting, sharing how he had been texting her and how eager she was to get to know him better. Dianaliz felt something special with Michael. After many years of being single, she had been praying for a God-fearing, honest, humorous, and protective gentleman to come into her life. It seems like her prayers were answered when she met Michael.

Dianaliz is a remarkable woman whose strength and grace shine brightly in all aspects of her life. She is known for her warm and compassionate nature, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to those in need. Her resilience and determination have guided her through life's challenges, making her a source of inspiration for those around her.

Michael embodies genuine love and unwavering support, qualities that define his character and make him an exceptional partner. His kindness and empathy are evident in every interaction, as he consistently puts the needs of others before his own. His dedication and commitment to creating a loving relationship with Dianaliz demonstrates his deep respect and admiration for her.

Michael and Dianaliz's journey is a testament to the path laid out by God. Together, they have built a strong foundation, growing and supporting one another through every challenge. Being in their presence, one can easily feel the profound love they share—a magnetic and magical connection that captivates all around them. Since the day they met, Michael and Dianaliz have shown us what it means to truly care for another person.

4. Vows

At this moment, the couple will exchange their vows. Michael and Dianaliz, I invite you to turn towards each other and join hands as you share these heartfelt promises.

5. Exchange of Rings

Who has the rings?

We now come to the exchange of rings, a timeless symbol of the couple's commitment to one another. These rings are a symbol of the unbroken circle of love. May they always remind you of the vows you have taken today. As you place these rings on each other's fingers, may they be a reminder of your promises to love, honor, and cherish one another. Michael, please place the ring on Dianaliz’s finger and repeat after me:

6. Tying of the 3 Ropes

As part of their ceremony, they have chosen to incorporate the Cord of Three Strands, a beautiful symbol of their commitment to each other and their faith.

The Cord of Three Strands represents the joining of God, Michael and Dianaliz, into a marriage relationship. Each strand holds a special meaning:

The first strand represents God, signifying the divine presence that will guide and support them throughout their marriage. It is a reminder that their relationship is not just between two people but is strengthened and blessed by a higher power.

The second strand represents Michael, symbolizing his individuality and the unique qualities he brings to this union.

The third strand represents Dianaliz, embodying her own strengths and the special gifts she contributes to this union.

As Michael and Dianaliz braid these three strands together, they are creating a strong and enduring cord. This act symbolizes their intention to make God an integral part of their marriage, trusting in His guidance and wisdom as they journey through life together.

A passage from Ecclesiastes 4:12 –

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of 3 strands is not quickly broken”

May this cord be a reminder of the strength and resilience that comes from a marriage built on faith, love, and mutual respect. As Michael and Dianaliz weave these strands, let us celebrate the sacred bond they are forming today, one that is fortified by their shared beliefs and commitment to each other.

7. Prayer for the Couple

The couple has now requested to invite anyone from the crowd to come forward, gather around them and pray for them, silently or out loud, as you come forward, you can lay hands on them and bless this couple.

Heavenly father, what a delight to see so many witnesses lifting up this couple, we thank you for the love that has brought them together. Lord, we ask for your blessings upon this couple as they begin their journey together as husband and wife. May their love for each other grow stronger with each passing day, and may they always find joy and comfort in one another’s presence. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, to support and encourage each other, and to face life's challenges with grace and resilience. May their home be filled with laughter, kindness, and compassion. Let them be a source of strength and inspiration to one another and to all those around them. We pray that You guide them in their journey, keeping them united in love and faith. May they always feel Your presence in their lives, and may their marriage be a reflection of Your love and grace.
