"What a beautiful experience this was. Harley has been my best friend for over 10 years now, so to be given the honor of marrying her to her soulmate, was beyond anything words could truly describe. They were both so lovely to work with when it came time to decide how they wanted their ceremony to go. It was quite an organized experience. For their vows, they each wrote theirs in private, only sharing with me as a proofreader, but also as a competition between them. They wanted it to be that who ever went first to read their vows during the ceremony, lost, and that the other wrote better vows. These two are quite competitive and it did not surprise me in the slightest when they insisted on this. When it came time for the rings, I did have the opportunity to pull a prank on everyone except the Bride and Groom (it would have been cruel to do this to them). I asked for the rings during the ceremony and motioned for the Best Man to give them to me, acting as if he or the dog he escorted down the aisle (Pudge, a crucial family member) had them. The Best Man immediately became as red as a tomato and shook his head that he did not have them. I panned over to the Maid of Honors asking if they had the rings but they did not either. I let the panic set in only for 35 seconds or so for my entertainment, and then pulled them out of my dress sleeve, the place I hid them hours ago. I convinced every single person in attendance that we forgot the rings. It was amazing; the second photo that I shared of the wedding attached to this post is of me laughing with the grand reveal (rings are in the right hand). Please enjoy! "

“Hello and welcome, ladies and gentlemen, friends and family, Justin…. Today we are gathered here to celebrate Harley and Jarrett as they make a promise of love and commitment to one another. I ask at this time that everyone, right now in front of me, take out their cell phones, mute them (Yes mute, not vibrate), and place them under your rear. If your phone rings, everyone in the room has permission to shame you with dirty looks and you will receive no dessert for the reception. The couple has asked you to be present in this moment with us. They have hired a professional photographer to capture today’s beautiful moments. There will be plenty of time for you to take photos later. Now, with that settled, let’s get married, shall we?

Invocation:
“Welcome loved ones. Please be seated. We gather on this joyful occasion to celebrate love, laughter, and light on Harley and Jarrett’s wedding day.
Before me, I can see just some of the puzzle pieces that have helped to build Harley and Jarrett’s lives. Some of those pieces could not be here with us today, but we still cherish them and thank them for helping us to get where we stand, just as we thank all of you. Your presence is a gift, so thank you for being here. However, if your presence is here to object to this wedding, then you are free to leave!
Declaration of Intent:
“Harley, Jarrett, the strength of your love has gotten you to where you are today, to this very spot that you stand in. It will take trust, to know in your hearts that you truly want what is best for each other. It will take dedication to continue to learn and grow together. And it will take commitment to remain down this path which you now embark on together, no matter what the future holds. Now, while there is a legal aspect to this wedding, a signed document does not create a marriage. What creates a marriage is the promises made and kept in your hearts.
Do you, Harley Levine, take this man, Jarrett Aguilar, to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, through your sorrows and triumphs, for richer or poorer, even when he forgets to take out the trash, for as long as you both shall live?
[Pause for Harley]
Do you, Jarrett Aguilar, take this woman, Harley Levine, to be your lawfully wedded partner, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, through your sorrows and triumphs, for richer or poorer, even when she makes you watch Greys for the 1000th time, for as long as you both shall live?
[Pause for Jarrett]
Harley, your partner in this life stands before you, ready to become yours for a lifetime. When you are ready, please read your vows.
[Harley reads vows]
[Probably me sobbing] And now Jarrett, the partner that you have chosen for this life stands before you, waiting to become yours forever. When you are ready, please read your vows.
[Jarrett reads vows]
[Probably sobbing harder. Will keep it together.] May we have the rings please? [Look to Phil for the rings] I thought they were with Pudge. You don’t have them? Carly? Jordan? WHO HAS THE RINGS? Oh yeah, I do! Sorry Pudge, ring bearer wasn’t part of your puppy training.
Exchange of Rings
“These wedding rings symbolize eternal love and devotion, and serve as a reminder of the promises that you have made here today. A ring has no beginning or end. Its path is endless and a symbol of your endless love and respect for each other.
“Harley, please place this ring of Jarrett’s finger and repeat after me: With this ring, I choose you; This ring is a token of my love, and with it you will always be with me. I will honor this ring as our promise to be patient, understanding, faithful, and forgiving as we build our future together. I pledge this commitment to you, today, tomorrow, and forever.”
[Harley repeat, put ring on Jarrett]
