Dearly Recently and Newly Beloved and Honored Guests who are with us here and afar in spirit,

I would like to begin us off with a prayer. Heavenly Father, as we begin, we humbly bow before you today praising You, Lord, and Your Son, Jesus Christ. Lord, we ask for your blessings upon [PARTNER B] and [PARTNER A] as we celebrate this momentous occasion in their lives. Grant them happiness and contentment, as their two lives become one, as they begin their new family under your protection and unending love.

Bless their families and friends and the relationships, which have supported, strengthened and sustained them throughout their lives. Bless their home as a place of love and of peace.

To add: A reading from the Apostle Paul,

The first letter to the Corinthians, Chapter 13, verses 4 through 7:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Let us pray for this man and woman as they make their marriage vows.

Father, as [PARTNER A] and [PARTNER B] pledge themselves to each other, help them and bless them that their love may be pure, and their vows may be true. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen."

We are gathered together here to join Aragon and Noelia in the spiritual and legal union of marriage. I mention the legal portion because Aragon is a lawyer and Noelia is joining the legal community by proxy today. The legal union of marriage is otherwise known as a contract. This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.

One day while hanging out with someone very special to me, I heard a verse from a song. You all may have heard of it. It's called Eres Tú by Reik, that said “If you need more from life (in other words if you were dying and needed to live) I would give it to you. If one day you are no longer here, I don’t know what I would do, because you are my beginning and my end. (You are my everything)”

Today we are here to celebrate this kind of love. The kind that feels like you cannot imagine life without the other. The kind of love that you feel as though they truly are your beginning and your end. We are here to support and honor this amazing one-of-a-kind love between (Partner A) and (Partner B).

Both have come here to make a bond that will last a lifetime. They have come to express their love, and their commitment in holy matrimony. Marriage has always been and will always be one of the most beautiful ways one says “I Love You” to the world. Because it is as if you are saying it to the whole world.

It is so beautiful to fall in love, but staying in love is difficult. All of us here can attest to the fact that the most important thing one can do in a marriage is love each other, respect each other, communicate, and choose to be there. To stay in the fight. To stay fighting for the amazing love that today unites you. This amazing first step is beautiful and it is worth celebrating!

A ring has no beginning and no end. Its path is endless and a symbol of your infinite love and mutual respect.

As you place these rings on your fingers, you promise to not only love each other, but to honor each other, to be compassionate, patient, and understanding as you build your future together. You can both feel the love in this room. These rings represent that love. Not just your love for each other, but for everyone here. Let these rings be a reminder of that love, of what you are feeling right now."

OFFICIANT TO SPOUSE

[SPOUSE A] place the ring on [SPOUSE B]'s finger and repeat after me:

[SPOUSE B], I give you this ring as a symbol of my love with the promise to love and support you today, tomorrow, always and forever."

SPOUSE A REPEATS THE PHRASE WHILE PLACING THE RING ON SPOUSE B'S FINGER.

Although this was new and unexpected and little quicker than we all thought this was going to be, remember that maintaining a healthy marriage requires love. It requires trust. It requires honesty. It requires patience. It requires teamwork, compromise, and understanding.

They will need to have faith in each other, so that they can move forward together into an unpredictable future. This will require dedication, remaining open to each other, and learning to grow together.

They have both declared their intention to marry, have promised to be engaged to each other, and have exchanged rings. Now there is only one thing left to do..."

Today (Partner A) and (Partner B) have accepted to unite their lives for love. That is why by the power vested in me by the church American Marriage Ministries and the state of (State name), I now pronounce you husband and wife. (Gender neutral - I now pronouce you married.)
