"It was fun to do. I enjoyed doing this for my sister. I added a small bit of humor which went over well and was complimented quite a bit. Hope to keep doing this. Exciting experience. "

Before I start I do have to say, please do not let me see anyone cry or I wills start blubbering and lose Control and make the ceremony last way longer than necessary.
What a beautiful day it is for two people to come together in holy matrimony. To strengthen each other in labor, to rest on each other and sorrow, to help each other in need, to share joy, and to be there for each other whatever life has to offer.
If there is anyone here today, who objects to this union, may they speak now or forever bite their tongue.
(Pause for laughter)
Shawn and Laura have brought you all here today, to witness this new union, and beginning to a life of giving, sharing, nurturing, and support for one another. To allow each other the freedoms to exchange, and grow together, developing a life together with mutual support.
I have an Irish blessing for you both: May God be with you and bless you.
May you see your children’s children.
May you be poor in misfortunes and rich and blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness from this day forward.
We will now have these to say their vows.
Shawn and Laura, you are about to make your promises to one another. You will find that as you live by these vows over the years, investing your time, love, and commitment to one another, the happy times of your life will be twice as joyous because you will share these joys in marriage.
Shawn and Laura please face one another to say your vows. Ladies first.
(Vows read)
And now these two will exchange rings. These rings, which are an unbroken circle represent unending love. As you both look upon these rings, may you always be reminded of this moment, and the love you have promised to one another. Again, ladies first
Laura placed the ring on Shawn‘s finger and repeat after me.
Shawn, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and constant friendship.
I am choosing to share my life journey with you.
I give you this ring with the pledge to love you today, tomorrow, always and forever.
(Repeat for Shawn)
Shawn and Laura, I want to wish you both much love and happiness as you begin this new journey. A German blessing for you “a long life, a long love“
Remember to keep lots of laughter in your life and love will never be far behind. Matthew 19:6, so they are no longer too but one flesh, therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.
Shawn and Laura you have pledged your face to one another in front of family and friends. My last blessing is from Scotland “A thousand welcomes to you with your marriage. May you be healthy all your days“
By the power vested in me by American marriage ministries and the state of Montana I now pronounce you “hitched“
(Facing the crowd)
I now give you, Mr. and Mrs. MacCatherine. Now the bride and groom will seal this union with a big kiss!
