Sheneka Seals And James Robinson’s Wedding Wedding Ceremony Script

Invocation /Greeting

Welcome family and friends. We have gathered here together in the presence of God to unite Sheneka Seals & James Robinson in a holy covenant in marriage. The Bible teaches that marriage is to be a permanent and covenant relationship between one man and one woman who comes freely and gives themselves to one another for life.

The Lord declared that a man shall leave his father and his mother and Cleave unto his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Who gives this woman to be married?

Prayer

Gracious God,

Lord, we come here today lifting this couple up as they begin their journey down the road as husband and wife. Just as you have kept your covenant of love to us, help them to keep that covenant to one another. Give them courage, patience and understanding to face trials without giving up. Help them to realize that nothing or no one is perfect and to look for good in everything including themselves. Enable them to forgive one another just as you have forgiven us. Lord, continue to guide them and keep them in your good grace. Continue to bless the family and friends that represent them today. We give you all the prays and glory in Jesus’s name AMEN!

From The Officiant

Sheneka and James,

Love is the foundation for a marriage and marriage is a companionship which involves a mutual commitment and responsibility that you give to one another. As you become husband and wife and share in the responsibilities and joys in life. Your sorries will be cut in half and your joy will be doubled.

• 1st Corinthian 13:4. The apostle Paul gives us a description of the type of love that we need he writes:

• Love is patient, love is kind.

• It does not envy.

• It is not boastful, it is not proud.

• It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,

• It is not easily angered; it keeps no record of wrongs.

• Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

• It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, Love never ends.

So, there is faith, hope and love. The bible tells us that the greatest of these is love. You are encouraged to dedicate your home that you are creating as husband and wife to the Lord.

Continue to pray for your family and remain faithful physically, emotionally, and spiritually. And may God watch over your household and bless this union.

At this time are you prepared to make your vows to one another?

Declaration of Intent

Please face each other and hold hands. The words you are about to express are your binding promises to love, honor, and cherish one another. Please answer by saying I do.

James Robinson: Do you take Sheneka Robinson to be your lawfully wedded wife, to live together in matrimony, to love and honor her, in sickness and in health, richer or poor for as long as you both shall live?

I do.

Sheneka Robinson: Do you take James Robinson to be your lawfully wedded husband, to live together in matrimony, to love and honor her, in sickness and in health, richer or poorer for as long as you both shall live?

I do

Rings

The couple will now exchange rings

These rings are a symbol of your continued love and commitment. By placing these rings on each other's fingers, you are promising to not just to love each other, but to honor each other, to be compassionate, patient, and understanding as you build your future together. As you wear these rings, let them be a reminder of the love you share and the promises that you made here today.

James as you place the ring on Sheneka left ring finger, please repeat after me.

With this ring I thee Wedd. I promise my love now and forever

Sheneka Seals please place the ring on James left ring finger, repeat after me.

With this ring I thee Wedd. I promise my love now and forever.

You have just sealed your relationship by the giving and receiving of rings. Now you will conclude your ceremony with the blending of sand.

Sheneka and James, today you join your separate lives together. The two separate bottles of sand symbolize your separate lives, separate families, and separate sets of friends. (WALK OVER)

They represent all that you are and all that you’ll ever be as an individual. They also represent your lives before today.

(POUR) As these two containers of sand are poured into the third container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Just as these grains of sand can never be separated and poured again into individual containers, so will your marriage be. (As you make your way back)

Pronouncement
