Dearly Beloved and Honored Guests,

We are gathered to reunite Dale and Tracy Bercier in enchanted wedlock and celebrate the many beautiful years they have shared together.

This year marks their 20th wedding anniversary, which they celebrated only 3 days ago!

20 years. That is an incredible achievement! 20 years ago----let's see----math...math...math...that means you were first married in 2004! Let's take a look at a few of the other things that occurred in 2004:

The Boston Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years proving that with enough faith and resiliency, nearly anything is possible when you work toward your goals as a team.

Janet Jackson experienced her famous wardrobe malfunction during the halftime show at Super Bowl 38, exposing, shall we say, more of herself than she was expecting. Men across the country were finally able to prove that they are willing to pay close attention to women while watching sports.

Mark Zuckerberg launched Facebook in an effort to find new ways for people to come together. But he ended up proving that people will do anything to find a way to waste as much time as possible.

NASA landed the Opportunity and Spirit rovers on Mars, proving that reaching for new discoveries and adventures as a team is the best way to enter the future.

Those are a few of the things that happened 20 years ago. But for those past 20 years, other things occurred. Dale cared passionately for Tracy, ensuring she never felt alone and knew she was treasured in the marriage. Tracy, as his unwavering partner, has endeavored to do her best to put up with Dale as best she could, with all the determination she could muster.

You brought two families together to create one, forming a loving home, and watched as that family began to grow and expand with the arrival of new life.

As in any marriage, experiences from the past years may have tested your vows. Experiences like losing your glasses at the bar, deciding what to have for supper each night, or launching the pontoon.

But, each day, those glasses are found undamaged, a delicious meal is always shared, and together, as a team, you safely land the boat at the end of each day's water-bourn adventures, proving yet again, your commitment to each other's love and well-being, proving once again your love for each other has endured, and will outlast all challenges in the coming years.

Now you stand together before our ever-loving God and these witnesses today to express a desire to renew your vows and reaffirm your love for one another.

Let us pray:

Father in Heaven, we ask you to pour out your blessings on this couple so they may continue to love and support each other through the coming years in your name.
