"This was my 1st prison wedding! I can’t not express how much I enjoyed being part of their special day! It was a process; a lot of paperwork, background check.. a few times they had rescheduled it but today was the big day! It poured the rain and was hot and humid and we still made it a great day! After the ceremony I went with her to the records department at the courthouse so she could get her license registered! She was beautiful bride and they are looking forward to their happily ever after! "

Wedding of Joscelyn & William Whitfield jr.
Howdy! What a beautiful day for a wedding!
How sweet to celebrate with the two if you the love you have discovered in one another; and to support your decisions to commit to yourselves to a lifelong relationship. Your lives which began on separate paths, will now be joined as one.
Please place your hands on the glass. These hands are such a precious gift to you. They are the hands of your best friend. Young and strong and full of love for you on your wedding day, as our promise to love each other, today, tomorrow, and forever.
As you stand before one another today, I remind you to be filled with gratitude and love for the bond the two of you share. Despite the physical distance between, your hearts remain steadfast in its devotion. Promise to always hold on to the memories you've made together, cherish the laughter and the tears, and to never let go of the love you share.
Be confident that your bond will only grow stronger with time. Look forward to the day when you can be together again, free to build a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Until then, know that you both are always on one another’s mind and in each other’s hearts.
IT IS NOW TIME TO EXCHANGE VOWS- “I DO!”
William – Do you take Joscelyn to be your wife? Do you promise to always love her, honor her and cherish her and protect her?
(wait for the “I DO”)
Joscelyn- Do you take William to be your husband? Do you promise to always love him, honor him and protect him?
(wait for the “I DO”)
William – please repeat after me:
I William; promise to be patient, understanding, and faithful. I will not let the distance between us erode our love, but instead; use it as an opportunity to grow, learn and become a better partner for you. I will write you, call you and think of you every day. I will be your voice, advocate and best friend. I will be the one who reminds you of your strength, resilience and your worth.
Joscelyn- please repeat after me:
I Joscelyn; promise to be patient, understanding, and faithful. I will not let the distance between us erode our love, but instead; use it as an opportunity to grow, learn and become a better partner for you. I will write you, call you and think of you every day. I will be your voice, advocate and best friend. I will be the one who reminds you of your strength, resilience and your worth.
May you both face every challenge side by side – knowing with Gods grace you will conquer all obstacles together. May the world forever be a better place because the two of you fell in love.
By the power vested in me- by American Marriage Ministries and in the state of Texas- I now pronounce you husband and wife.
Thank you both to allow me to be part of your special day!
