INVOCATION

Family, Friends, and Loved Ones,

We are gathered here today in the presence of God and as witnesses to celebrate the marriage of Dawn Hendrix and Yasin Broadnax in holy matrimony. Surrounded by your love and support, we come together in this beautiful place to share in their joy as they begin their new life together as one.

LOVE STORY 

Dawn and Yasin met on a dating site on July 14, 2013, just a day after Yasin’s birthday. Dawn initially thought online dating was odd, but Yasin quickly proved her wrong. They connected instantly, spending hours talking and discovering just how much they had in common.

Their first date was a long walk along Kelly Drive, filled with laughter and endless smiles. Dawn was drawn to Yasin’s kindness and generosity, especially his genuine care for her daughters.

Yasin knew right away that Dawn was the one for him. He admired her beauty, intelligence, and straightforward nature. Their shared birthday month in July made their connection even more special. A week after meeting, Dawn invited Yasin to her youngest daughter's cookout. Yasin impressed her by taking over the grill and preparing all the food.

His thoughtful gestures, like surprise lunches and roses at work, made Dawn feel cherished.

Yasin and Dawn embraced and love each other's children as their own. Two years later, they welcomed their first child Yasmeen. Through life’s challenges, their love only grew stronger. In April 2022, Yasin proposed to Dawn at work, marking a new chapter in their journey of love, commitment, and family.

The contract of marriage is most solemn and is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously, with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities.

Remember that love, loyalty, communication, understanding, with the ability to forgive, and the unwavering commitment to fight for each other are the foundations of a happy and enduring home. No other human ties are more tender, and no other vows more important than those you are about to pledge.
