Officiated by Ronald E Morris III at Dot & Lucy's Event Venu in Murfreesboro, Tennessee on August 24th, 2024. Witnessed by Terence Floyd and Nikita K. Floyd.
"Today was a truly memorable occasion. While I felt a touch of anxiety before the ceremony began, the warmth and joy in my family's eyes quickly dissipated my nerves. Officiating for a loved one is a unique experience, and I was honored to be chosen to lead my cousin and her husband through their special day. The outdoor setting presented a minor challenge as the sun blazed directly into my eyes. Despite the heat and sweat, I managed to navigate the script and deliver the ceremony with a touch of humor and warmth. The positive feedback from family members was incredibly rewarding. Their appreciation for my role and my ability to keep the guests engaged made the entire experience even more special. In short, it was a wonderful and unforgettable day."

Welcome Friends, Family, and loved ones! We are gathered today in the sight of God, and Family to witnesses and celebrate the marriage of Jamiel Snorden and Tasheika Floyd.
We rejoice today as Jamiel and Tasheika receive one of God’s greatest gifts – a loving partner to grow with, to share life’s joys and challenges with, to build a family with, and grow old with, and to journey within faith throughout all their days.
Before we begin, let us bow our heads and ask God’s blessing for Jamiel and Tasheika and for our loved ones that have pasted on.
Heavenly Father,
We humbly ask Your blessing upon Jamiel and Tasheika as they embark on this new chapter of their lives together. We thank You for bringing them together and for the love they share.
Guide them as they navigate life's journey, hand-in-hand. May their love be a beacon of light, reflecting Your love for the world.
We remember our loved ones who have passed on. Though they are absent in body, we know their spirits are present in our hearts. May their memory be a source of comfort and inspiration.
Bless this special day and this beautiful union. May Jamiel and Tasheika's love grow stronger with each passing year.
In Your holy name, we pray.
Amen.
*(Presentation of the Bride)*
Who gives this woman to be married to this man?
Jamiel and Tasheika, marriage is a sacred bond, a commitment to love and support each other through thick and thin. It requires a deep foundation of trust, patience, and unwavering loyalty.
As the Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 13, 'Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.'
This kind of love is essential for a lasting and fulfilling marriage
Jamiel and Tasheika, I encourage you to hold onto the vision of love that you have for each other. Remember, even though we all support you, life will present challenges. It's the kind of love Paul describes in 1 Corinthians that will help you overcome those obstacles.
With that in mind, Jamiel and Tasheika, is there anything you would like to say to one another.
*(Vows)*
Jamiel do you take Tasheika to be your lawfully wedded Wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto her for as long as you both shall live?
*(Confirmation) (I DO) *
Tasheika do you take Jamiel to be your lawfully wedded Husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, keeping yourself unto him for as long as you both shall live?
*(Confirmation) (I DO) *
Jamiel and Tasheika will now exchange rings as a symbol of their love and commitment to one another.
*(Ring Exchange) * Presenting of the Rings
Jamiel, you will notice that the ring is a complete circle, without beginning or end. It is symbolic. I trust, of the endlessness of your love for Tasheika. You will take this ring, place it on the third finger of Tasheike’s left hand and as you place it there repeat after me: Tasheika, with this ring, I thee wed, I do promise to love, honor, and cherish you, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.
Tasheika, you will notice that this ring is made of the purest of metals. It will not decay or tarnish with age. It is symbolic, I trust, of the purity of your love for Jamiel, You will take this ring, place it on the third finger of Jamiel’s left hand and as you place it there repeat after me: Jamiel, with this ring, I thee wed, I do promise to love, honor, and cherish you, in good times and bad, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.
Heavenly Father,
We ask Your blessing upon Jamiel and Tasheika as they embark on this new chapter of their lives together. May Your love guide them, protect them, and strengthen their bond.
As they leave their families to become one, may their union be a reflection of Your divine love. Bless them with patience, understanding, and unwavering support.
May their journey be filled with joy, peace, and the enduring presence of Your love.
In Your Holy name, we pray.
