INVOCATION
(JACK)
First, before we get started, I would like to remind everyone that Pam and Nick hired a wonderful photography team to capture the snapshots of this momentous occasion. As you saw from the signs at the entrance, we respectfully request that this be an unplugged ceremony so please do not take any photos or videos during this time. If I do notice you taking pictures or I hear a phone shutter sound, this ceremony will come to a screeching halt and I will stare at you for an awfully uncomfortable, awkward amount of time and it will be unpleasant for everyone here.
Second, Sam is very affectionately referred to by her friends as Pam. In the 14 years of our friendship, I have only known her as Pam. I have never once called her Sam. I will do my best to be consistent, but please forgive me as I will most definitely be using these names interchangeably throughout the ceremony.
With all that being said…
Dear friends and beloved family…Welcome! Nick and Pam thank you all for being here today.
In this day and age, it is not necessary nor expected and for a recent year or two...legal for a couple to hold a grand, boisterous celebration of their marriage, but I’m sure it comes to no one’s surprise that these two have elected to do exactly that. Foregoing eloping at a courthouse…Nick and Pam decided to kick off this new chapter of their lives with a big bang by sharing this extraordinary day & gorgeous location with everyone here.
I can genuinely say, both of them recognize and appreciate everyone here and away for being a part of that blessing, while helping to get them to this point today.
Now some of you may be wondering who the hell this man-bun sporting schmuck is ordaining these two fine people and why I’m up here delaying your drinking, eating, and general tomfoolery, so at the request of the bride and groom, I will briefly introduce myself.
My name is Jack Carlson, proud and humbled friend to these two wonderful soon-to-be newlyweds. Pam and I met our freshman year at the University of Minnesota as we both were elected to participate in our fraternity/sorority pairing homecoming cheer competition. Even after that interesting learning experience, Pam and I built a strong friendship in college offering each other wisdom only found around a group of friends and Toppers pizza at 2:30am, attending Burrito Loco FACs, sorority and fraternity formals and exchanges, a roadtrip with Emily and Gottlieb to visit Luke Gunderson in Pensacola, 2016 Gundy and Bri’s return to the US Lake Tahoe bash, and many nights out with the friends in Uptown’s golden years. Post college, I eventually met Nick, while having actually met a lot of his friends through Gundy. Add all this with me being a Packers fan… paired with Nick’s uncanny likeness to Aaron Rodger’s face, we got along immediately.
Little did I know that 14 years from that cheer competition and many powerful memories later, Pam would become like a sister to me; as an only child, it’s difficult for me to communicate how truly profound it is to say that. While putzing around home one Sunday morning, Pam and Nick stopped by with a beautifully crafted bottle of whiskey with my initials on it…which some would call a bribe, others would call a gift… and them asking me to ordain them. There may or may not have been a few tears of happiness shed while drinking said whiskey, but I could not begin to describe how much of an honor and privilege it is to be standing here before you in this position, at this moment.
MEMORIAL
Pivoting to a more serious note, We would like to take a moment to honor Pam’s Grandma and Grandpa Peterson who could not make the trek out to be here today.
Additionally we honor Pam’s late Grandpa Fair and Nick’s late Grandma and Grandpa Kolinski and Grandma Diment. Even though they’re no longer physically with us, they all are a key part of the foundation that makes Pam and Nick the people they are today. May we always remember them and all others who live on in our hearts.
BIBLE VERSE READING
(BY ANNIE KRSEANE & TONYA DIMENT)
We now invite Annie Krseane & Tonya Diment up for their readings of Psalm 121 and Roman’s 12:10 along with a short prayer and marriage blessing.
(Annie)
Psalm 121
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
Annie Prayer
(Tonya)
Roman’s 12:10
Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor
Short Marriage Blessing
Thank you Annie and Tonya for that beautiful reading.
So…Now, for what you all traveled here to experience…please join me in bearing witness to the declaration and spiritual union between Pam and Nick and envelope yourself in the memory we are creating here today.
DECLARATION OF INTENT
(JACK)
Will you, Pam, take Nick to be your lawfully wedded husband,
to continue being one of the most fiercely loyal friend anyone can ask for,
through year round Christmas celebrations,
in love for running errands together
celebrating the highs, and conquering the lows,
to continue pushing him beyond his limits,
in support for his family, and building your future family
and to be his #1 fan and hype woman,
side by side forever?
(PAM to NICK)
“I do”
(JACK)
Will you, Nick, take Pam to be your lawfully wedded wife,
to continue being one of the most fiercely loyal friend anyone can ask for,
to support her when she bites off more than she can chew,
in being her calm, decisive consultant,
celebrating the highs, and conquering the lows,
spontaneously going on leaf peeping trips,
to continue pushing her beyond her limits,
and in support for her family and building your future family,
side by side forever?
(NICK to PAM)

PUZZLE CEREMONY
Now as all of you are sure to know, Pam is quite an avid puzzle-person. It’s not uncommon to receive Snapchats from her sending through a completed puzzle…morning, day or night. Today there will be no unity candle, sand mixing ceremony, or knot tying. Right now, Nick and Sam will be putting together their own 500 Piece Puzzle of Love to commemorate this day….so go back, grab a drink and make yourselves comforta…..just kidding, just kidding… It's an 8 piece.
(NICK AND PAM PUT TOGETHER PUZZLE)
VOWS
(JACK)
Now, the bride and the groom will read aloud the vows they have personally authored and created together.

RING EXCHANGE
(JACK)
Both of you elected to exchange rings…to possess a wearable, daily reminder of the love you both declared today… and the love you will cultivate and foster for the rest of your lives. These rings embody the robust, energetic, and durable trust you maintain for each other…while symbolizing your commitment to uphold that trust. The journey to this moment has not been without its challenges. But from the start, you have overcome those obstacles, both big and small, together. Remember what you have learned… dwell on those accomplishments… but never forget that the solution to your problems will always require unwavering efforts in the form of honest communication, decisive action, and an unlimited wealth of support for each other. You two are the Fellowship of these Rings. May they be the light for you in dark places, when all other lights go out. I know I speak for everyone here that we are confident in both of your abilities to uphold the promises and vows dictated here today.
Now, with Nick kicking it off, please exchange your rings.
(NICK)
I, Nick, give you Pam this ring as a symbol of my love and commitment to XXX together forever.
