Hello everyone! Welcome to what I promise will be a brief ceremony.

Today we gather to witness love, laughter, and life as we celebrate Lucas and Courtney’s wedding day.

If you’re wondering how I ended up being the person officiating today I can assure you I wondered the same thing at first. Making good choices is something Tamara and I have tried to promote when raising our kids, so if you know me then you know Lucas and Courtney took quite a risk by asking me to be the minister at their wedding today.

I wasn’t sure they were making a good choice then, but I am so happy they chose me now. How special I feel at this moment. I will never forget it.

In fact, Each of us here represents a special place in Lucas and Courtney’s lives no matter how we got here. I know we mean a lot to them.

Thank you all so much for choosing to be here today!

• Lucas, you made a GREAT one in finding Courtney. I am so proud of you for choosing such a smart, strong and wonderful life partner. I am excited to see where your adventures take you two.
