"This wedding ceremony was extra special. Dora is my fiancé's little cousin, and I've had the chance to watch her grow up and turn into a beautiful strong woman. I'm so happy you found the love of your life and I wish you two all the happiness in the world. Thank you both so much for giving me the honors of officiating your special day! "

AUGUSTUS & DORA
SUNDAY APRIL 28, 2024
On behalf of Augustus and Dora, and their families. I would like to welcome everyone here @ The Metropolitan Centre on this beautiful day. I am Kristen the officiant and ordained minister through Universal Life Church and the state of Ohio.
It is with great pleasure that I stand before you today to officiate the union of Augustus and Dora. From the moment they met in 2016 to their engagement in 2019, their relationship has blossomed. Today marks another milestone as they exchange vows.
The bride and groom kindly request an unplugged ceremony. With respect to their wishes, everyone please take a moment to turn off all devices until after the ceremony. They have hired a talented photographer named Anthony who promises to capture special moments and share them with everyone after the ceremony.
A true marriage begins well before the wedding day, and the efforts of marriage continue well beyond the ceremony. A brief moment in time and the stroke of the pen are all that is required to create the legal bond of marriage, but it takes a lifetime of love, commitment, and compromise to make marriage durable and everlasting.
VOWS
Augustus & Dora, at this point in the ceremony, you will now exchange vows. Please face one another as you give your vows before God and all assembled.
Let us begin with Augustus.
[Augustus]
I, Augustus, take you, Dora,
To be my lawfully wedded wife.
I promise to keep you through good times and bad,
For richer or poorer, and in sickness and in health.
I vow to stay true to you, honor you, and love you,
Until death do us part.
Dora you may now share your vow.
[Dora]
I, Dora, take you, Augustus,
To be my lawfully wedded husband.
I promise to keep you through good times and bad,
For richer or poorer, and in sickness and in health.
I vow to stay true to you, honor you, and love you,
Until death do us part.
Would the couple please join hands? Augustus, do you take Dora to be your lawful wedded wife?
[Augustus] I do.
Dora, do you take Augustus to be your lawful wedded husband?
[Dora] I do.
RING EXCHANGE
We have reached the part of the ceremony where you both will exchange rings with one another. These rings are a symbol of the bonds of marriage and your love for one another.
Augustus, place your ring on Dora’s finger and repeat after me.
“With this ring,
I give my marriage vows
and promise my love and commitment.”
Dora, place your ring on Augustus’ finger and repeat after me.
“With this ring,
I give my marriage vows
and promise my love and commitment.”
PRONOUNCEMENT
By the power vested in me by the state of Ohio and the Universal Life Church, I pronounce Augustus and Dora as married! Augustus, you may now kiss your bride.
