Officiated by Mary Frances Perry at The Other Barn in Columbia, Maryland on June 21st, 2024.
"Officiating Ashley and Jame's wedding was so great. The sun was shining and very hot, but beautiful. The wedding was at a beautiful venue outside, which looked like a barn from the front but when you go to where the ceremony was taking place was a beautiful outside garden area. Their family and friends, bridal party were easy to talk to and had a sense of humor. I felt like I had already known them especially Ashley's mom. Her mother was such a down to earth person. She was so happy for her daughter. We talked like I was part of the family. I will never forget right before the ceremony started my lens popped out and James handed my lens to me and ask if I was okay, I told him sure not to worry everything is okay, he said I'm not worried I know you go this, which I did. The ceremony went off as planned and then some. I loved the experience of marrying two people who mean so much to each other. I wish them Peace, Love and Blessings! "

OFFICIANT TO RECEPTION:
"We are gathered here today in the presence of friends and loved ones, to celebrate one of life's greatest moments.
We are here to give recognition to the beauty of love that is shared between Ashley and James as they complete their family in holy matrimony.
Marriage is a contract not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously and with a deep realization of the obligations and responsibilities. Marriage is the moment where your hearts and souls are joined together for eternity.
The joining of two hearts as husband and wife is a commitment like no other. It offers opportunities for sharing and for personal growth that no other human relationship can equal.
A husband and wife are each other's best friends, confidants, lovers, teachers, listeners and critics. The bond between a husband and wife deepens and enriches every fact of life. Happiness is fuller, and commitments are stronger.
Marriage also encourages new life and new experiences, and finds new ways of expressing love through the ups and downs of life. Ashley and James, as your journey begins as husband and wife, I would ask you both, remember to always treat each other with respect, and remind yourself often of what brought you here today.
