Officiated by Michael Wayne Mead at Big V Ranch in Ponca City, Oklahoma on October 19th, 2024.
"This was my 2nd wedding in as many months. My middle daughter asked me to officiate the wedding, and it was an amazing experience. The venue was absolutely beautiful and so was the bride. It was held outdoors next to the Big V Ranch Barn and we used pumpkins as a decoration theme. It was an emotional ceremony and I feel I did amazing. My youngest has asked me if I would be willing to renew her vows next summer when her and her husband celebrate their 10-year anniversary. "

Family, friends and honored guest…on behalf of Jeremy and Cassandra, I would like to warmly welcome you to today’s joyous occasion! Two hearts are about to unite as one, in an act of true love and commitment.
Together they have built an amazing life and today we share in the joy of their choice to keep building an even more amazing life as husband and wife.
Jeremy and Cassandra would like to first take a moment to remember the loved ones who can’t witness this event because they are no longer with us.
Cassandra’s Grandpa Burke, passed in 2000 and her Grandpa Mead, passed in 2016. We know that they are here with us in love and spirit.
(Brief moment of silence)
As we get started, I’d like to ask who presents this woman to be married to this man?
Michael – “Her mother and I do.”
Tucker – “I do too.”
We have all been invited here today to witness and celebrate the uniting in marriage of Jeremy DeNoya and Cassandra Mead.
They are taking the first step of their new beginning, their NEW life together. The ability and desire for one human being to love another is perhaps the most precious and fulfilling gift that has been entrusted to us. It is an all-consuming task and a lifelong endeavor.
Loving someone is a reason to stretch beyond our limits, to become more… for the sake of the other. It is to look into the soul of your beloved and accept what you see. Accept who they truly are.
Loving is the ultimate commitment which challenges humans to become all that we are meant to be. As they join in marriage today, Jeremy and Cassandra are announcing to the world that they are welcoming that challenge.
I believe that only once in your lifetime, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. You tell them things that you’ve never shared with a soul, and they absorb everything you say and want to hear more.
You share hopes for the future, dreams that may never come true, goals that were never achieved, and the many disappointments that life has thrown at you.
They are not embarrassed to cry with you. And they love to laugh with you. They build you up and show you the things about yourself that make you special.
There is a quiet calmness when they are around. You can be yourself because they love you for all you are. In their presence, there’s no need for continuous conversation, and you are quite content…. Just to be near them.
We are here today celebrating love.
Love ... What a small word we use for an idea that is so immense and powerful that it has altered the flow of history. It has calmed monsters. It has kindled works of art. It has turned tough guys to mush. It has driven strong women mad. And it has fueled national scandals.
How can love's spaciousness be conveyed in the narrow confines of one single syllable?
Love is an ancient delirium, a desire older than civilization, with taproots stretching deep into dark and mysterious days. Our heart is a living museum and in each of its galleries, preserved forever, are our moments of loving and being loved.
Love is friendship that caught fire. It is sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and troubled times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses.
Love is content with the present, hopes for the future, and does not dwell over the past.
Love is the day-in and day-out chronicles of irritations, problems, compromises, small disappointments, big victories, and working toward common goals.
If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you lack. If you do not have it, no matter what else there is, it will never be enough.
Love is a temporary madness; it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides you have a work to do. You must decide if your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part ways. Because this is what true love is. It’s the realization that you not only WANT someone in your life, but you also NEED them.
In the beginning of relationships, your roots grow towards each other, and over time, when all the pretty blossoms fall from each of the branches, you discover that you are now one tree and not two. You have a much deeper connection than you once had.
Marriage is an incredible commitment between two people who have decided to embark on a journey, together, hand-in-hand. But it takes much more than just love and trust.
Marriage involves open and honest communication, patients, faithfulness, and an enduring commitment for the relationship to be strong and successful. You need these things to nourish the roots and branches of your love tree so it continues to grow and become stronger.
Marriage is a team sport. Some days you win, some days you lose, but each day is an opportunity to play and enjoy the game. The game of love.
DECLARATION OF INTENT:
"Jeremy and Cassandra, please join hands and look at each other. As you go forward, just remember that happiness in marriage is NOT something that just happens. A good marriage must be created. In marriage, you stand and face the world together. You do things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.
Do not take one another for granted. Be flexible, patient and understanding and always speak words of appreciation and show gratitude in thoughtful ways. Always help and encourage each other to grow. Remember, it’s not only marrying the right partner, but you also BEING the right partner.
Jeremy, here in the company of family and friends, do you willingly and lovingly take Cassandra to be your wife? To be your partner in marriage, with all the responsibilities and joys that such a union brings, agreeing to stand beside her in good times and in bad, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, and pledge to love and support her today, tomorrow, always, and forever? If so, answer “I Do”.
Jeremy – “I Do.”

RING EXCHANGE:
Ring bearer, will you please present the rings?
"Jeremy and Cassandra. The rings are the universal symbol of marriage. They mean many things. From now on you will wear these rings and they will remind you of the endless circle that they are. Like love, there is no beginning and no end.
These rings will remind you daily that you are married. Sometimes they will remind you of the commitment that you made… for better or worse. But may they always remind you that there is ONE OTHER PERSON in the world that has pledged to love you forever, through thick and thin and with all that they have to offer.”
"Jeremy, as you place the ring on Cassandra’s finger, please repeat these words after me: Cassandra, I join my life to yours, I promise to devote myself to you and only you, to honor and cherish you, from now until the end of time.”
"Cassandra, as you place the ring on Jeremy's finger, please repeat these words after me: Jeremy, I join my life to yours, I promise to devote myself to you and only you, to honor and cherish you, from now until the end of time.”
Now join hands and look at each other.
The hands you are holding … are the hands of your best friend.
The hands you are holding … will work alongside yours to build your future.
The hands you are holding … will countless times wipe the tears of joy and sorrow from your eyes.
The hands you are holding … will give you strength when you need it.
The hands you are holding … will give you support and encouragement.
And lastly, the hands you are holding are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours.
PRONOUNCEMENT:
Jeremy and Cassandra, life and love are the greatest gifts bestowed upon humanity.
May this union together grant patience, tolerance, and understanding … as well as the passion and excitement every marriage should own.
May you need one another, but not out of lack.
May you support one another, as a sign of mutual independence.
And may you continually rediscover your love in one another, as the greatest gift of all.
You have come here of your own free will and in the presence of family and loved ones you have proclaimed your love and commitment to each other, and you have given and received rings as a symbol of your promises to each other.
"By the powers vested in me by the State of Oklahoma and American Ministries, I now pronounce you husband and wife.”
