Dearly Beloved and Honored friends of Zach and Macie,

We are gathered together here to join Macie Bea Berlin and Zachary Spears Shewmaker, excuse me, I mean #SMPFLBD and #SMPFLBMW, in the spiritual union of marriage. I want to first stop and acknowledge the fact that there are only 10 of you here today. 10 people out of all the friends Zach and Macie could have chosen, and yet you are the ones they wanted to witness this intimate and extremely monumental moment in their relationship and of course, in their lives. I must also acknowledge the venue... my own company, TURN Studio! A place where Zach and Macie were able to see each other 2 days a week during the beginning stages of their relationship and the place Zach gets to admire Macie's competitive side off the kickball field! What an absolute honor it is to be standing here today at my place of business with each of you here. I have had the pleasure of getting to know both Zach and Macie, as well as cheer them on as we ride bikes that go nowhere in a dark room, but nonetheless, I have grown to know what you all have known for quite some time... Zach and Macie have the biggest hearts. They are loyal friends, caring and generous human beings, loving parents, and have a unique love for the sport of...kickball! When I spent some time with the couple I learned that without kickball, we might not be standing here today. What started as a business partnership quickly blossomed into a forever future and what was the scariest moment of Macie's life, actually proved her love for Zach. A flood for Macie and for Zach... well he was in love from the very first moment he laid eyes on her.

What greater thing for two persons than to feel they are joined together; to strengthen each other in labor, to rest on each other in sorrow, to help each other in need, to share joy, and to be one with each other-whatever life has to offer.

Macie and Zach, today begins a life of giving and sharing, nurturing and support; allowing each other the freedom to change and grow as individuals while developing your mutual spirit as time goes by.

In the art of marriage, the little things are the big things. It is about establishing a relationship in which your independence is equal, dependence is mutual, and obligation is reciprocal.

Today your friends and children are gathered here today to celebrate your union. We are privileged to witness two very dear friends, two exceptional individuals, committing to share a lifetime together.

Macie and Zach, you are about to make your promises to one another. You will find that as you live by these vows over the years, investing your time, love, and commitment to one another, the happy times of your life will be twice as joyous, because you'll share these joys in marriage.

The ring, an unbroken circle, represents unending love. As often as either of you look upon these rings, may you be reminded of this moment and the love you have promised to one another.
