Welcome family, friends, and loved ones. We are gathered here in this time and place to celebrate the union of Jasmine Marika Park and Vaughn Clayton Powers. Each of us attending has somehow touched their lives and we are the community that they have called together to witness.

Marriage is a lifelong partnership made openly by those who choose to pledge their trust, their friendship, and their love in one another. Vaughn and jasmine have chosen to pledge these things to each other with open hearts. A story of a true friendship that grew to be a one of a kind true love.

Your presence serves as a symbol of the love and support that each of you offers and allows them to officially start their life together, surrounded by those who are dearest and most important to them.

Jasmine and Vaughn we welcome you to this moment in your lives and into the place you have earned in each others hearts.

We join with you on this day, as you commit before everyone present that from this point forward you shall live as one.

Jasmine and Vaughn will now take part in a planting ceremony to symbolize the roots of their relationship and continued growth of their love as they become each others family today.

It gives as a firm base from which to grow, to learn and to change “. In the soil of our daily lives, the light lifting us up, is love.

Let this plant become a symbol of your life as you grow together lifting each other up. The years ahead will bring changes of season, and many types of days. Cleansing rain, the joys of spring, summer days, and the beauty of fall. through the years to come, let your love stand strong, mature, and deepen.

Keep steady on your foundation whatever changes life may bring, as you would any other living thing, with tenderness, nourishment, and plenty of light. May you be each other’s protective canopy.
