Joe and Suzy, welcome to your wedding day! What a beautiful day it is to celebrate your love! All these years of being friends with Joe, I can say without a doubt he loves every day with you. Joe is not a man of many words, but he sure does light up when he’s talking about you. I’ve seen him come out of his shell and get excited about creating this life with you. They say sometimes you find the right person at the wrong time and I’m glad you both gave it another go… third time’s a charm!

Before we begin, let’s take a moment and acknowledge all the wonderful people who are joining you on this special day. Joe and Suzy please turn to face your guests and look at all of those smiling faces. The couple would like everyone to take a few quick pics and then we ask to put the phones away as the photographer will be capturing their special moments.

Joe and Suzy, as we stand here, let us remember to be thankful not only for each other, but for the beauty that surrounds us everywhere we go. Let us be thankful for the beauty that is the Earth and all that surrounds us and all that it provides to us.

Joe and Suzy, you’ve embarked on a journey that has led you through hills and valleys, through winding roads, to eventually bring you to this beautiful moment today.

I want you to pause and take a moment to think through all of the adventures you’ve shared since that first date, concerts you’ve been to, and even rolling around on the BJJ mats. Think through it all, the laughs, the tears, maybe even your first fight. How about the first time you said “I love you”. Think through all that you’ve shared, all the good and the bad, know this: that it is all those moments, all the peaks and valleys alike, that have led you to this moment here, the one where you become husband and wife.

And as you move forward into this next chapter of your lives, no matter how busy your days may be, simply remember to make time for yourselves, unwind, surprise each other, and every day, find those moments to show that you are grateful for each other.

The beautiful thing about your vows, is that you get to symbolize them through the wearing of your wedding rings. The rings you are about to exchange are a symbol of commitment and of love. They are made of solid, sturdy metal to withstand the test of time. These rings will always be the physical reminder of the vows you’ve just shared with each other.
