OFFICIANT (to congregation):

Gracias. Por favor tomen asiento. Mi nombre es Abby y es un placer estar con todos usted para celebrar a Catalina y Alex.

Estamos reunidos hoy para celebrar uno de los momentos más grandes de la vida, y para apreciar las palabras que unirán a esta pareja en matrimonio.

En presencia de su amada familia y amigos, Catalina y Alex pronunciarán su amor a través de esta ceremonia y comenzarán un viaje de vida juntos.

OFFICIANT (to congregation):

Marriage is the promise between two people who love each other, and who trust in that love, who honor each other as individuals, and who choose to spend the rest of their lives together. This ceremony will not create a relationship that does not already exist between you. It is a symbol of how far you have come these past few years.

It is a symbol of the promises you will make to each other to continue growing stronger as individuals and as partners.

No matter what challenges you face, you now face them together, and no matter how much you succeed, you now succeed together. The love between you joins you now as one.

READING (optional): The couple would love to share a poem in honor of Alex’s parents who are here with us in spirit: “To my son. Though others won’t see us, you’ll feel us by your side. As you look down the aisle towards your new adventure, we will watch and hear all the vows that you say, just know that we are with you on your wedding day. Catalina and Alex will now exchange rings as a symbol of all the lifelong promises they are making to each other.
