Ceremony Script of Tyler and Diana
Invocation:
We are gathered here today to join Tyler and Diana in the spiritual union of marriage.
This contract is not to be entered into lightly but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realization of its obligations and responsibilities. Please remember that love, loyalty, and understanding are the foundations of a happy and enduring home.
Hand Fasting:
This cord represents the marital bond.
It is strong enough to hold you together during times of struggle yet flexible enough to allow for individuality and personal growth.
Please join hands.
Reading:
These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong, and full of love for you,
that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.
These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fill your mind.
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes: tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.
These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.
*Blessed Be
(repeat Blessed Be)
As your hands are now bound together, so shall your lives be bound as one.
Keep this cord as a visible reminder of your promise to one another and let no one unbind it, as long as you both shall live.
While your hands are still bonded: Ring Exchange
(Tyler takes his left hand with the ring and places it on Diana’s hand and repeats after me)
Tyler, please take this ring and place it on Diana’s figure and repeat after me.
Diana, I give you this ring as a symbol of my love, and that I am sharing my life’s journey with you. I give you this ring, with the promise to love you today, tomorrow, always, and forever.

You have now pledged your love to each other, and so, by the authority vested in me by the State of Texas,
You May Tie The Knot and Kiss Your Bride. ( this is where you pull your hands through)
I am proud to present Mr. and Mrs. Emm
